The best part was the staff’s attention; Special thanks to Pinky she went out of her way to accommodate us all. She knew it was graduation weekend and made sure we were all prepared for the events. Got us the necessary supplies and everyday she made sure our rooms were done ; cleaned from top to bottom. Even though the facilities are old ; the rooms are updated. The hotel served the purpose which was to have a place to sleep. It is a high season weekend in Charlotesville so everywhere was booked and this place was too. Well done and thanks to all the crew running the place.

We stayed in Charlottesville for two days and there was so much more to do!
Nature: Charlottesville is an amazing place for the casual to intermediate nature enjoyer. There is ample opportunity in hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty, one even passes by Monticello.
Feeling: Charlottesville is a welcoming place. It's a college town with a lot of history, and you tend to find that the people there are involved in the community and it seemed as though anyone could find an event for them.
Restaurants: There are several amazing restaurants that Charlottesville has to offer - Bodo's Bagels (Pastrami Bagel with Muenster Cheese, Mustard, and Raw Onion), The Whisky Jar (Chicken Skin Burger), Umma's (Korean Fried Chicken), and Marco and Luca Dumplings (fried dumplings) were just a few of the culinary highlights of our trip.
All in all, if anyone has the chance to visit Charlottesville and you are the type of person, or people, who enjoy nature, historic towns, quirky shops, eclectic food choices, and an overall relaxed, laid back feeling, go to Charlottesville already!

We only had two nights in Charlottesville.
We only had two nights in Charlottesville. I think we could have easily spent another couple of days. We spent 6 hours at Monticello and could have still gone back for more. We spent an afternoon walking on The Mall, which is the historic Main Street that was pedestrianized. There were so many great shops and restaurants we could have enjoyed the change to visit more of them. There were also great music venues but we didn't get a chance to see any shows.

We were there for a Track meet at UVA.
We were there for a Track meet at UVA. Very close to the university and historic downtown area. Visit to Monticello was excellent and only about 15 mins away. Traffic was a bit congested but was manageable but showed the robustness of the area. On way home drove threw Shenandoah valley. A must. Spectacular views.

The rooms were clean, the bed were great.
The rooms were clean, the bed were great. It was hard to watch TV when not in bed, there was only a desk chair in the room. The restaurant was handled by one man who was also the bartender and the cook. He did a fantastic job, the food was excellent and there was little wait time. He was most welcoming and he was the highlight of our stay.

We toured Montecello, the Trump Winery, the Downtown Mall area, and traveled to Ruckersville and Stanardsville to visit the little shops and antique stores. Getting around Charlottesville was a little hectic because there seemed to be a lot of construction and the roads were a little difficult to navigate due to unusual lane patterns. The mountain area is beautiful.

Nice downtown promenade and holiday lights.
Good food at The Whiskey House (?) Restaurant.
And of course...the mansions. Beautiful views and such a deep touch to our nation's history! These politicians, even tho slave holders, at least had class. And understood the timing to make change happen.
And lived w/ in those attitudes.
Sleep Inn was affordable, clean ,busy, well maintained and convenient! TY for great hot waffles! And a comfie bed.

Very impressed. Large room with comfortable bed, a good sized desk to work at and a little kitchen area. Very convenient for downtown and about 10 minutes walk from the Amtrak station. I felt very comfortable there. The breakfast buffet is comprehensive and reasonable quality. And ignore comments about being woken up by trains in the night; they're out of date as they don't blow their horns going through Charlottesville any more!
I rarely if ever leave reviews but for the price I must say this hotel was amazing! Everything was super clean and new. The rooms were very spacious, especially the bathroom. The indoor pool was clean and very relaxing with a great scenic view. The people at the front desk were friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great. We are planning to stay here again the next time we visit Charlottesville.
Very clean, all extra amenities needed were in room like an iron, hair dryer, etc.The bed was exceptionally comfortable. We didn't partake, but there was afternoon tea in the lobby. Breakfast was very good, with attentive, friendly staff replenishing it. Had an air of a luxury hotel but in a friendlier way. We would have no reason to return to Charlottesville, but if we did, we'd stay here again.
Location was amazing being in the heart of downtown Charlottesville. Additionally, the house/hotel was all we were expecting, being super cozy and make you feel in a small place rather than a large brand hotel. The cherry on the cake was the amazing client service and small details such as the wine and cheese afternoon, and the handmade oatmeal for breakfast
We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt. The room was large and clean with a wonderful sixth floor view. The staff were very helpful. The free breakfast was excellent. The indoor pool was enjoyable The hotel is conveniently located. It is a short walk to restaurants and stores. It is also a short drive to UVA, the downtown mall and the Corner.
NEW. CLEAN. AMAZZZZING! It was so fresh and the lobby was so amazing and cozy and they had a cute room you could chill in. A real nice vibe, staff was super friendly. However it’s pet friendly and there was a dog staying across the room from ours which wouldn’t stop barking so that was annoying.
it’s a lovely Inn. they have a nice fireplace in the lobby and the rooms are very comfortable! the breakfast is yummy too. we travelled with our dog and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. if I go back to Charlottesville, I will definitely stay there again!
I really enjoyed the breakfast definitely top notch, the staff was the most friendly I’ve ever encountered at a hotel in a long time. The place was beautiful gave a home vibe. Room was very clean and quiet I would most definitely recommend to anyone to stay.
Very central in Charlottesville: you can walk right away into the main pedestrian area from the hotel. We had the corner suite, which provided us with a great view over the main avenue and tons of light. Pool and jacuzzi were amazing.
The hotel is calm and silent although close to a large road. It is very practical for travelers who don’t want to enter in the downtown. The rooms are large and include all standard facilities.
Excellent staff at the check-in desk. Knowledgeable and helpful. The room is small, but very well arranged. Great location for visiting Charlottesville 👍. TV
