Great place to spend the night when visiting the Great Sand Dunes park and Zapata falls. The place was quite (no excess noise from inside the hotel). Breakfast was great. I liked the special items were available for people with dietary restrictions.

The room was large, had a fridge and microwave and a large-screen TV. It was very clean and quiet, right on the edge of the small town of Alamosa. Breakfast was a choice of freshly made breakfast burritos or waffles. The staff was great, gave me some good restaurant suggestions for dinner.

Excellent location for those attending Adams State University labs; it is only a 5-minute drive from campus. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was extremely responsive. I will stay there again!

Alamosa is a cute little town - our stay at the "Cozy Colorado Retreat" was super comfortable for us & our 4-legged friends. Alamosa was centrally located to enjoy the Great sand dunes and was only an hours drive to El Sanctuario Chimayo, Joyful Journeys Hot Springs, & to snowmobiling in Red River, NM. Lots of great things to see & the scenery is gorgeous!

Alamosa seems to be a working class dominated town, and a bit past its prime. Most of the nature destinations (Great Sand Dunes, national forests) are a ways off, although not far by Colorado standards. While it has a small college (Adams State University) it seems that it doesn't influence the town strongly. I guess I'm just not a big fan of Alamosa.

Really delicious. I wish we would have had more time to explore more of Alamosa. We were just passing through on a trip but very glad we stopped.

We attended the Sandhill Crane Festival in Monte Vista but chose to stay in Alamosa because hotel rates were less expensive than Monte Vista. Alamosa and the surrounding areas offer fantastic views of snow-capped mountains. Both the Alamosa and Monte Vista Wildlife Refuges offer excellent opportunities to observe and photograph wildlife. There are many outdoor activities available to those who love to drive or hike and explore.

My family and I went to the Colorado Gators farm.
My family and I went to the Colorado Gators farm. It was a blast very family friendly, which is great since I have a 3-year-old and 10-year-old sons. Even my 20-year-old so had a lot of fun. It was my first time being to the farm, great staff and atmosphere.
We ate at Chili's our first night there and the service was really fast and friendly staff.
It's really easy getting around Alamosa. My older son lives, he's going to college at Adam State University.
I would only avoid the motel we stayed at for our visit.
Vicino ad Alamosa, ottimo se sì vuole visitare il Great Sand Dunes National Park. The host is very welcoming and the room is super comfortable. We have really appreciated the possibility to have a sauna after a long day trip. Special mention to Foxy and Frosty, very nice dogs.
Breakfast was normal for a hotel breakfast. I am gluten-free, so I liked that they actually had gluten-free bagels on one of the mornings. They ran out & didn't get more for the second morning. We were there for the Cumbres & Toltec train ride, so the location was very good.
No hot water machine for tea or coffee in room - no tissue box in bathroom or room - no extra blanket - no extra pillow. No real welcome to hotel - l am a former college tourism and hospitality educator so l thought it was poor not welcoming after a very long day driving
The room was so cute and we were about a half hour from all the places we wanted to see and close to the conveniences of the city. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The little cafe next door serves a free breakfast that is delicious to the hotel guests.
The location was nice on our trip across country and the price was one of the better ones in town especially for a last minute booking. This looks like it could be a good hotel. And the sheets were clean.
the hotel was very clean inside..even with all the people there. the bed was very nice and the pillows were nice as well. I thought it was neat that if they were too soft you could get firmer ones.
Lovely place very comfortable and 40 mins to Great Sand Dunes National Park and 5 mins to centre of Alamosa. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast felt home made. Would stay again!

Cute old school hotel vibe, very comfortable beds, much better value than other hotels in the area, very friendly staff. A/C worked well, nice to have a ceiling fan and fridge.
