I was in town for a family gathering. The location was perfect and was right in the middle of various family member's homes and close to where the family was gathering.
The room was spartan but extremely clean. It contained everything I needed. A bed, a phone, a desk, a microwave, a small fridge. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The temperature control was great. The owners of the facility were very kind and helped carry my bags to the second floor. They would bring me extra supplies upon request.
This was a motor lodge, so there was no breakfast. However, within a very short walk, right next door, there was a Dunkin' Donuts, Adam's Hometown Markets, CVS, McDonald's, Town and Country Discount Liquors(including convenience store). The price was perfect.

I spent Mother's Day with my best friend at Mayflower Resort, and no words can truly capture the amazing experience we had. Special thanks to Katy at the reception on the night shift. We enjoyed our late-night conversations with her, and she treated us exceptionally well, even offering us s'mores by the fire.
Chris welcomed us with such warmth and kindness from the moment we arrived. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. sweet and friendly demeanor truly added a personal touch to our stay.
Thank you Chris & Katy

Very friendly Inn Keeper, very helpful in directing me where to dine and suggested I stop to see Kent Falls. Bed was comfortable and good water pressure in shower. Charming spot- wish I had more time to enjoy this beautiful Inn.

Simply a beautiful and historic feeling inn. We liked the common spaces and all the little touches like a coffee bar, complimentary snacks, and local recommendations. We loved the area. We enjoyed the breakfast. We will definitely come back!

The room smelled of cigarettes and mold, it was about a hundred degrees in the room, there was blood stains on the sheets of the messy bed. The hole where the smoke detector once was had red wires hanging out of it. No smoke detector in the room. The bathroom had gnats fling around. The curtain was hanging off the rod. The place was disgusting. Don’t ever book a room here.

This is the third time I have left this.
This is the third time I have left this. The place was disgusting it had bugs. I was bit at least three or four times within less than 5 minutes that we were in that room. We would not stay and would not take another room. If one room has bugs more than likely all the rooms have bugs. The bedding was dirty and the beds springs you can feel. A bad cheap mattress. And it smelled. No way in hell we’re we staying there for our 30th anniversary let alone any other time of the year.
They need to be reported to the health department. If I don’t get a full refund for this room that I did not stay in, I will report them to the health department and shit them down if I have too.

The people of Torrington were very pleasant and accommodating. I went to the local History Museum as Google said it was opened. They were actually closed for the season. The director unlocked the building and turned on the interactive displays so I could have an understanding of local history. He also gave very good instruction to get to the birth place of John Brown the abolitionist. It was refreshing to see people that were enthusiastic about their history and community.

South End and Downtown of Torrington is dirty.
South End and Downtown of Torrington is dirty. A lot of empty store fronts and the stores that are open look like they are operating on a shoe string. North side is a little better but not by much. The area that seems to be flourishing is the upper east side. Walmart, Target and a few small shopping malls are in that area. Days Inn, unfortunately, is close to the Downtown part of Torrington. They may want to consider building a facility up in East side of Torrington. Seems safer.
The location was very convenient to our son's house for our visit. The breakfast was really non existent. There was coffee and 2 zip lock bags of a granola bar and small bottle of juice on a counter. There may have been yogurt in a small fridge. I don't think they should advertise free breakfast. I did not expect a full breakfast but a few muffins and perhaps cold cereal would have been nice.
Very basic hotel without normal check-in area. Breakfast is terrible.
Receptionist is covered by some defensive fence like this is the area of criminals...
The smell in the room is not good. Typical budget hotel.
I never really expect much when it comes to Torrington, but I was surprised to find that this place was super clean and comfy! We’ll definitely continue to stay here when visiting family
