This visit was enjoyable with a separate room from the entry. The basic necessities are normal. Appreciate the A/C timer.

Excellent location close to downtown Davis with shopping across the street. The beds were soft, and we fell asleep quickly. The hotel is well insulated-we heard no outside or hall way noise. The room was clean. They had an outside Bar B Que grill, outdoor pool and work out room but we didn't use them. I wish we could have. Check-in was easy peasy and the front desk woman was so friendly, enjoyable and helpful. What a delightful person. We will be back.

Good breakfast... liked the variety in options. Everything was well stocked and the staff was quick to refill anything that was out.
Overall the staff was great, super friendly, and quick to help when needed. The hotel shared spaces and rooms were very clean.

Staff were helpful and we got a room close to our car and the pool. Made it easy for my kids and I to walk back and forth.

We enjoyed walking all over
Bummer was Hotel was falling apart No Elevator for our 6 days stay we were on the second floor of the hotel so we had to climb lots of steps to get to and from our room the ice machine was broken on our floor and when we first arrive for four hours no water
But all the staff and the managers were all very nice there and pleasant, very good breakfast and that was it

Great place to stay in Davis.
Great place to stay in Davis. Close enough to UC Davis that we didn't have to get up early for Aggie Day. There were good restaurants nearby (highly recommend the Japanese one) and a fab grocery store.

Be prepared for a friendly hotel that has slipped away from its previous high standards, with rooms badly in need of a facelift. It has all the facilities, though some are slightly shabby. It definitely needs tighter management and staff with better training.

The hotel met my expectation.
The hotel met my expectation. However, I was charged about $15 over the price that was shown during booking and confirmation. I asked why but was told it was for incidental and would be refunded upon checked out. It was not refunded when I checked out. In fact, I was not given a receipt even I had asked for one. Booking.com has not done anything to help me to resolve this situation. It is not so much about the $15 but it is the principle of the hotel not meeting its advertised price.

The city is beautiful the food is fantastic. It is possible to visit many places by walking and there are good public transport options to Sacramento and the Bay area. Davis is definitely one of my favorite places.

I lived in Davis for many years, so I know where I want to go when I am there. I recommend the Davis Food Co-op for bulk foods, organic produce, and spices hard to find elsewhere. There is an Asian market on Fourth street. The Farmers Market is Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning. Davis Ace Hardware has a good selection of kitchen wares, towels, and napkins. Pence Gallery on D Street and The Artery on G Street have original art for sale. There are independent book stores downtown, one for new books and toys, another for used books. There are three movie theaters downtown - one for indie films. The arboretum and university campus are favorite places to walk. Unitrans buses can take you around town - walk down third street to campus to get on board. There is a variety of restaurants on Second and Third streets, E and G Streets, and the university student union on campus. Indian and Nepalese food are especially good. Amtrak service is frequent.
The service was good , the room was ok they changed my room 3 times and the last time the bathroom was clogged I called front desk many times to come fix after several attempts I went downstairs to get a plunger and fixed myself ! My room never got room service , it’s a shame I’ve stayed in these hotels before and never had a problem in fact stayed in one in Davis closed to campus and it was great . I will never come back to this location
Excellent location in Davis, in the center close to all restaurants, good positioning for UC Davis, even if not right next to it. You can hear the train sometimes during nighttime but it is not a big disturbance. 10 mins walk to the Arboretum which is beautiful and definitely worth a visit.
Cafe Bernardo downstairs is very popular and has a very diverse offer both for breakfast and lunch. The food is excellent. Wiki bar is pleasant.
This is a motel - there's no breakfast available! The room and the bathroom were clean. Maid service is only upon request.
The rooms are situated in some sort of a park, which looks good. There's also a pool. There seems to be enough parking.
We took this hotel/motel, because it is at the entrance to Davis, meaning that you can walk to the town centre (and the university, UCD).
The rooms were clean. The room I was in felt recently renovated, while the room my folks were in felt like it needed some repairs. There was coffee and to-go breakfast items in the lobby. The location was super convenient for a family visiting a student attending UC Davis, easy driving distance to a bunch of great restaurants like Wok of Flame and Ruhstaller Farm.
Pretty much everything. Perfect friendly. The best out of all the hotels on our college tour trip. Hotel is every clean and super nice. Staff is exceptional. The town (Davis, CA) is so so nice. Nice that everywhere is 5-10 minute drive. Very bike friendly. Love the hotel has bikes for rent.
very well located to walk in Davis. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice. only drawback was the noise from the refrigerator and heater as well as the street noise. overall, it was a good place to stay near campus, however. we will do so again.
We stay at this hotel often when we visit our daughter at Davis. I love the small, equipped kitchen and comfortable room. Staff is always friendly and breakfast is good. I like the location, right off the interstate and close (but not too close) to campus.
The room is big and clean, the staffs are nice, free parking and great location just for me which is near the Octave apartment. But the hotel is a bit far from UC Davis if you plan to walk there. It's about 10 minutes by car.
I was going to UC Davis. It was about 20 mins from Gallagher Hall and about 7 mins with Uber. It is a nice neighborhood, restaurants and shops nearby.
The cinema is also around the corner. Staff are friendly.
Decent breakfast for a quick bite that is part of the room rate. Has what you need to get going for your day. No awards, but a selection enough to meet most peoples needs in this type of hotel.
We love staying here when we are in town visiting family. Wonderful staff, clean comfortable rooms, great breakfast, location.
Would highly recommend if coming to the Davis area
