Conversations with the animal caretaker were informative. Dogs were fun to interact with as well. The ranch themed room decor fit the setting perfectly -- we loved the details, especially the galvanized shower/tub. We also appreciated the kitchenette for making breakfast and the farm fresh eggs were fabulous. We highly recommend Fish Gaucho in Paso Robles for dinner and Sculpterra Winery.

From walking around the vineyards in the morning to the very flavorful fresh eggs, this is a unique and really fun spot near Paso Robles. The balcony view is great…watching acorn woodpeckers and numerous other birds dart around while drinking your coffee was a lovely way to start each day. Staff were incredible, taking the time to talk about the animals, and answering our questions about feeding and everything else. Beds were comfortable and the space is larger than expected.

It feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere, but there is a Trader Joe's about five minutes away. There are two very good places for breakfast in Templeton, "Amy and Jaime's Place," and "Kitchenette." The ranch itself is 30 acres, and you can walk all over the property, which is lovely. There are large friendly dogs, a cat, chickens, a goose, alpacas, a goat, and of course, a zebra. It's a very serene place to get away for a few days.If
