We went to historic attractions ( Susan B Antony Home) as well as the museum of science and several local restaurants. We were there for a few days preceding the eclipse in April. There is a lot to do in Rochester and you can get there by car or Amtrak.

Rochester offers some great restaurants and sights to see even when you are just passing through the area. The Owl House was a favorite spot as was Strangebird. We also walked around the Strong Museum and the Museum of Play.

Eastman Kodak Museum was great.
Eastman Kodak Museum was great. Walking past all the mansions on East Avenue was even better! The waterfalls were solidly impressive and there were lots of old buildings to admire in the downtown core.

Best advice I can give about Rochester; visit Tony D’S.
Best advice I can give about Rochester; visit Tony D’S. It’s right on the river, has indoor and outdoor seating, and has upscale meals. Nice atmosphere, chic enough for a date, but relaxed enough for family.
I liked everything about the property. It was centrally located, had onsite free parking in the mid of downtown (my favorite location close to Spot’s cafe), room was big with very thoughtful things even like make up remover towel- gel. Bed was comfy enough for a family with kids. Shower was fantastic. Every morning there was coffee and muffin at the lobby.
Wonderful Hotel! Their Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I want to Thank Marsha and Matt for being so nice and understanding when I checked in so late because of car trouble, and letting me extend my stay. The room was very clean and nice, and the breakfast was very good. I will be staying here again in the summer with my family.
The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water but the bathroom was in need of updating. The breakfast was good as "free" breakfasts go. The area had a weird vibe kind of like a depressed city that lost its economic base. Lots of hotels and restaurants that were shuttered. Front desk staff were friendly. It was fine for an overnight
Everyone was so friendly, kind, & professional. This was an unexpected overnight stay but so glad we chose this hotel. Customer service beyond amazing, room was perfect, the hallways smelled so fresh & clean, Bar, drinks, food & staff amazing & great! Morning breakfast staff wonderful & food was great! We will definitely be back!
We were greeted right away and they were able to find my booking without any issues. When we got to the room, it was clean and neat. The breakfast was ample and there was plenty to eat with a variety of foods. This stay was 4x better than the last hotel I stayed at which was about 4x time price.
The location was good. The inside of the hotel was beautiful. The staff was very grit and helpful. The food was good eating I’m the restaurants. Room service meals were cold and no syrup with pancakes. Shower hard to operate for a senior. Tv selections limited, especially baseball games.
Very nice house in Rochester. My room was big and comfortable. The staff was extremely kind and helpful (a small issue with towels was readily solved). The highlight was surely the breakfast: delicious, freshly prepared every morning and served in the cutest room. I really enjoyed my stay.
Rooms were very clean. We are a family of five and it's a kid-friendly hotel. Liked the breakfast and staff very nice. We were in town to go to the Strong Museum (12 minute drive). Location was easy to get to and many restaurants nearby (Olive Garden close by and Red Lobster).
Everything was nice and clean the room was huge I really love the living area was cute in the room And the bed omg it was so amazing to sleep on made you feel like you didn’t want to get up 😂😂😂 will be returning again this hotel was the best you will get your money worth
I liked that it was spacious and had all kinds of little personal touches, such as the uplifting signs and decorations, the abundance of towels and the sunny windows. It was so much more fun than a hotel! Even the squeaky old floors made me smile!
Super comfortable and roomy, even had ice in the freezer! Check in was a breeze with no human interaction which honestly was appreciated. The area is also so nice! It just felt like a whole different experience and not like a stuffy hotel
The rooms were very clean, a good size and very quiet. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff was all very helpful. The restaurant on site served a delicious breakfast and also had a nice bar.
The breakfast station was excellent. It was always refilled there was food and coffee available 24/7. The breakfast area was always well maintained. The room was a decent size for us and was clean.
Very clean and everyone was so helpful friendly. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very good. We recommend this hotel!
