Don’t know, arrived late and no staff was anywhere to be found. Tried calling, no one answered! I was exhausted from driving all day in rain and horrible traffic and just wanted to get some sleep.

The setting is filled with trees, grasses and beautiful peonies. The Inn itself is a bit dark upon first entry but the dining rooms were beautiful and sunlit. Our room was exactly as pictured and the balcony was unexpected but a welcoming place to relax, drink some wine, and unwind.

Location, finishing touches in common areas, fire pit area/kayak/bike are great features but we did not use, waterfront on river, breakfast, snacks, kitchenette, warm/cozy decor.
This Middletown inn is 10 minutes’ walk from fishing and boating in the Connecticut River and Wesleyan University is 5 minutes’ walk away.

It was in a convenient area in town, right next to Wesleyan University and all its stellar night life, and it was so clean. It has everything a chain hotel would have, except it was more reasonably priced and had a much more homey flair. It was a cozy place to rest, but not in the middle of nowhere.
Featuring private beach access and scenic ocean views, this resort also has a luxury spa and an on-site restaurant. The Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets are 6 miles away.

for the most part, the staff was very friendly. The gang at the borrow side was exceptional. Especially Timothy, who looked like Matt Damon. The bar inside not so much. I don’t think those inside bartender should be in any kind of job that includes customer service especially the guy with the ponytail. He was downright rude.
The Griswold Inn has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Essex. Located around 11 miles from Goodspeed Opera House, the inn with free WiFi is also 22 miles away from Wesleyan University.
