I really did like this hotel! We will be back on our next trip to Daytona. Happy hour cocktails are an awesome idea. Free parking, breakfast, wifi and towels for the pool. They have a cubby for beach toys for everyone to use or donate to. The rooms were big and spacious, the beds were very comfortable. Tip! The beach was nice. You can ride your car on it for a fee. The pool was nice and clean at the hotel. There was no bar or lounge at the place we stayed. Most restaurants and bars in the area were closing at around 10 pm. which kind of put a damper on the evenings in Daytona. There is more rift raft coming into the town, then I remember from 25 years ago. Not a lot of night life going on there. Nothing appealing to my wife and I. Run down and sad. There were a lot of homeless and drug addicts. We ate at 3 restaurants and the food was not good. We did like the town’s commitment to helping turtles by requiring vehicles off the beach by 7pm.

Our stay at Max was beyond amazing.
Our stay at Max was beyond amazing. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our condo was equipped with everything we needed just as if we were at home. Our favorite thing to do was go upstairs to the Beacon lounge to play games and go out to the sunset terrace. The pool was the hangout and we made so many friends. Big shout out to Lisa and Sean. They welcomed us with smiles and set the tone for our vacation. I can't remember the name of the other gentlemen working. I do know he was from Jamaica and had only been with the Max for a short time. He was extremely helpful with us getting upstairs to our room. We had a lot of bags and he assisted us while my husband parked the car. Thanks again for everything you guys did to make our stay 1 for the books!!!

It was Jeep week at Daytona while we were there.
It was Jeep week at Daytona while we were there. We didn't know how loud and busy the beach would be because Jeeps love to drive up and down the beach all day long. Duane, the owner mentioned it but we didn't know how that would affect sitting on the beach. We needed to be there for our granddaughter who was attending a ballet conference at the convention center so the location for that was great, but if you want a quiet, relaxing beach experience don't come to Daytona when it's Jeep week.JohnUnited States of America - 8.0Scored 8.0

We enjoy Daytona Beach and go 2 or 3 times a year. We love the packed sand on the beach so that we can ride our bikes and take long walks. There are lot of nice beachfront hotels and restaurants on the water which we love!

Decent rates, no resort fee, and lots of free parking. My son and his wife live in the area, and no issue with them visiting us. We've previously stayed in other area hotels, but this will be our go to in the future. They replace towels, gave us more when we requested, made beds every day, and vacuumed. They had sand toys and pool floats for 5 year old granddaughter. Happy Hour a plus!
