We needed a room for 3, it was small with 3 beds but spotless and had everything we needed. Bathroom/shower was larger than others we had on the trip. I was a little concerned from other reviews but we had a great stay here. No view but Varenna is tiny and views are easy to get, you don't want to stay in your room! We had a nice courtyard right outside our door by a trail that winds above the town. And it's close to the train station. Breakfast was lovely, the facilities are in great condition. We also were worried about the wifi, my son had a job interview while we were there. The room had a small desk and good light, and the wifi was fine for him.

The owners and employees are A+. Our 2-story, 1-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. (Bedroom and bathroom were downstairs.) Apartment, bed, linens and temperature were very comfortable. Couch and high-back chair seem old and could use an updating soon. Happy to have a kitchen and a kitchen table and chairs. We paid €12 for a small bottle of wine offered in the apartment. Nice breakfast included in our stay. We loved our time in Varenna and ferrying over to Bellagio. Thank you, Albergo Milano!!!

The location was planning perfect. Varenna is beautiful lake town with excellent views and a perfect jumping off point for the lake. Hermes was an amazing host and wonderful person. We loved our stay and will definitely come again.

Lovely B&B great for people coming on the train—just take your luggage up the slope and you’re done! There is a very nice restaurant right next door that also has a fantastic view of the lake—get reservations for La Veranda Dei Pescatori Ristaurante!! We arrived on the train from Milan, dropped off our luggage at the inn and then had a fantastic dinner next door! These properties are above the station so you don’t see it and the electric trains are quiet.
