We had a spacious two-story, two-bedroom, two-bathroom, three-balcony suite with lovely mountain views. It also had a kitchenette, separate dining area, and an upstairs sitting area. We went to the pools (main pool, whirlpool, and children's play pool) twice a day--there's a fourth, adults-only pool that we didn't visit. The resort is very close to central Garmisch and easily walkable. It's only a few minutes drive (by car or by the hotel's shuttle bus) to the Hausbergbahn. The kids enjoyed the minigolf course, the game room, and the buffets. We've stayed at several resorts in the Zugspitze area and would gladly return to this one.

Τhe hotel is situated in a really picturesque location with beautiful views over the town, mountains and lake. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is superb. The parking is ok with both outdoors and indoors spaces. There are saunas, a gym and a pool all of which are well equipped and maintained. We went off season so it was pretty comfortable.

This was a super cute boutique hotel not far from the train station, restaurants and shops. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast staff even bought us some chicken for breakfast, because we don't eat pork and there were only pork options at breakfast (along with salmon, some veggies, some oatmeal, cheeses, some fruits, and some bread). The staff was very attentive and helped us in any way we needed. The entire place is spotless and welcoming. The little fridge in the room with a lot of place for hanging and storing clothes was nice! I feel confident in recommending this lodging.

The food was very good and the property itself is beautiful. Great amenities. Unfortunately, the poor service and scary situation that no one was able to help with, overshadowed anything else positive that I have to say.

At the foot of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the country’s top ski resorts. The Bavarian style of its Alpine chalets includes beautiful flowers lining every balcony, and colourful frescoes adorning the outsides of houses.
The varied skiing and snowboarding in the surrounding Alps is based mainly on blue and red runs. To ski on the Zugspitze glacier you take a train up to the mountain then a cable car down to the slopes. The summit itself offers magnificent views of the valleys below, provided you’re lucky enough to get a break in the clouds.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a former host of the Winter Olympics and the World Alpine Ski Championships. It also has a ski jump that forms part of the world cup of that sport. In summer hiking is the most popular activity and a lengthy route leads up to King’s House on Schachen, a supposed castle that looks more like a house.
It was built for Ludwig II, the eccentric king behind the region’s most impressive castle – Neuschwanstein to the north-west of Garmisch. The road between them passes by Oberammergau, famous for its 10-yearly Passion Plays.

We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season.
We spent a week in GAP at the end of the winter season. The weather was warm, but skiing opportunities were just perfect at the Zugspitze which is over 2500m high. From GAP, the train takes you to Munich in an hour, so you can enjoy a big city atmosphere and related activities once you get bored from skiing. By car, you need an hour to reach the most visited tourist attraction in Germany - Neuschwanstein castle. Overall GAP is a cool location for both summer and winter time.

What a lovely area, I want to move here. Such beautiful scenery, mountains for great hikes and lovely people.
It’s also an ok place for skiing, the slopes aren’t super long or the resorts not very fancy but it could be a great place to learn the sport.

Really fantastic place - Partnachklamm is an absolute must!
Really fantastic place - Partnachklamm is an absolute must! Really beautiful walk, so impressive, reasonably priced and not too packed. Bring a small torch or have your phone to hand though for the dark sections!
We ate at Gasthof Herdenfelfer-hof - it was great - lovely atmosphere, good service and great food and beer!
Easy access to Zugspitse too - cable car ride is expensive but overall I’d say worth it for the pretty special views up there! We ran out of time a bit, but make sure you allow a bit of extra time to take the little cable car down to the glacier where there looked to be some great opportunities for tobaganning for the kids!
Oh - and we found many public toilets needed 50c, so maybe have a few coins at the ready, especially if travelling with young children!
Would loved to have stayed here longer and explored the surrounding areas, and Austria, more.

I highly recommend this accommodation. Located on a beautiful main street, the rooms are classic and comfortable. I shared bathroom (which was very clean and in good condition) but there was a little sink in the room which I found quite convenient. The staff is wonderful, attentive and friendly. The hotel has a classic german restaurant just downstairs which is quite convenient. The breakfast is exceptional! On my last day, they prepared a lunch-box for me because I had to leave before breakfast time. Great experience, I'll be back!
The name of the hotel for the beautiful view was right on point: from the balcony and from the windows of the hotel room there is a fantastic view of the Alps and all of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The hotel manager, Mr. Yaser Khan, gave us a warm welcome and was always available for service and advice. There were free tickets for public transport and the local swimming pool at the reception. My family and I would like to thank Mr. Yaser Khan again and look forward to seeing you again at the beautiful view hotel.
Very nice 2 bedrooms plus 2 big bathrooms, nice spacious living room and a fool utilated kitchen plus garden directly to Alps with a really spectacular view to Alpenspitze! Quiet family area. We, 2 adults plus 2 kids, enjoyed our staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and sure we will come back soon again! Very friendly and competent team, open for helping with any questions, uncomplicated check in/out and a very nice red wine to welcome!
PS: it is all looking better then in the pictures, a point plus from us.
The location was great for us, there are some parking spaces in front of the hotel but parking in the street is also an option. The staff is very nice and polite, the guesthouse doesn't have 24-hour check-in so it's good to align with the staff to get your keys. The guesthouse is a lovely traditional German house, full and rich in details. The room was very good and spacious. It's very close to city center (5min walking distance).
My second time staying at the hotel and I must say it was even a more memorable experience!
The team of Rita and Andreas provide such a great guest experience plus the location is on the way to the Zugspitze which is place that everyone will go to. The walk into town is refreshing and energizing! A beautiful breakfast in the mornings with ample selections make for a great start to the day!
Great location near the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station and the Zugspitze train for skiing at Zugspitze. Room was comfortable and reasonably spacious. The breakfast was good and the dinner that we had one of the nights in the hotel restaurant was just fabulous. The hotel has a great sauna. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The hotel itself was very good but it was all of the little extras that made it exceptional. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We only stayed two nights so didn't get chance to use all of the facilities. We would certainly like to go back for a longer stay.
We used this hotel as a base for climbing the Zugspitze nearby. staff were friendly and helpful and free parking was good. view magnificent from the breakfast room, bedroom view was of the car park. car essential as up a long steep road up from the town.
The host is fantastic. Easy to contact and very responsive. Great location for walking in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Traveled with children and they enjoyed the small outdoor space available outside the apartment. Would definitely come back to stay again!
This hotel has a great indoor swimming facility. Breakfast was a nice buffet with plenty of options. Rooms were spacious. There was a small outdoor playground for kids. The price was more affordable than other options at the time we booked.
Staff were always professional and courteous. Hotel was old world charm exactly as described. Breakfast buffet one of the best I have experienced. Room was exactly as described and had every amenite plus more not listed.
Location, accommodation and restaurant are top notch! Located in the historical center of Partenkirchen, it's close to everything. Everyone from the hotel basically make you feel at home. Definitely a RECOMMEND.
Breakfast and dinner was excellent. We had to leave early on the last day before breakfast opened and they made us a nice togo bag for that morning. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and food was excellent.
Definitely the best Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen!
Modern and beautiful, we really enjoyed our stay.
