My problem is not with Hotel Dilijan Resort. The problem is with Booking.com. I clearly indicated I wanted a single standard room. But reaching hotel, I found in the hotel booking a family room which was basically a two bedroom apartment with huge sitting room and costing 4 times the cost of a single room. At that time, there was no way I could officially ascertain what was my original booking. If one is not carefully to cross check over and over before completing the booking, Booking.com will saddle you with a room option you did not pick in the first place which you will only notice when it is too late. This has happened to me before

You may walk and discover interesting corners, try the Armenian dishes in the restaurants and enjoy the beautiful view of mountains around.

We stayed one night, on our drive towards Tblisi. But we shoudl have stayed 2-3 days instead in Dilijan. The nature is spectacula. We went horseback riding wiith Dilijan Horseriding. An absolute must do! We ate dinner at Kchuk restaurant, an absolute explosion of delicious flavors! The wine was from Karabagh, and was sooo smooth. We stayed one night at the cutest, comfortabe Cozy House. Imagine spending a night in Elfin like surroundings. Clean, beautiful and welcoming.

Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia.
Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia. It is surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers; a perfect location for those who love hiking, adventures and nature.
There are several lakes in and around Dilijan: Dilijan lake, Parz lake, Gosh and Hovk lakes (5-10 kms away from the town). You need mountain jeeps or good walking shoes to reach Gosh lake. To reach the other lakes, a usual rented car or taxi is ok. Those are small, lovely, mountain lakes.
The river Aghstev flows through the town and it offers nice views and places to eat on its shores.
Nearby towns are as peaceful as Dilijan; Goshavank, Aghavnevank (both west of Dilijan), Teghut and Hovk villages (to the north, on the road towards Ijevan).
For mountaineers and hikers, Mount Dimats offers spectacular scenes. You can reach there by mountain jeeps with drivers (10,000 drams).
The area is also packed with cultural and religious old sites, like Haghardzin monastery which can be reached by a taxi or rented car. The others, Aghavnevank and Matosavank need a good 30-40 minute upward-slope walking as the roads are not suitable for cars.
There is a deer breeding center on the way to Parz Lake. Children will love it was they are allowed to feed the deer. At Parz Lake, there are several activities, such as zipline, boat-riding, etc.
Inside the town, you can walk on Sharambeyan Street, where you can find souvenirs, artwork and traditional, 19th century houses. There is also the Dilijan Park and the Amphitheatre.
In Dilijan, there are many good places to eat, Halep, Getap, Flying Ostrich, Ureni, Kchuch and Tava restaurants. Getap restaurant and hotel complex is a great relaxing place right next to the river with good food.
Avoid going to the river or the lakes on Sundays as those places will be packed by locals and tourists.

Dilijan is a decent place for relaxing and going for extreme ways at the same time. It offers great mountainous landscapes with dense forest, yet it is a quite developed city with a selection of restaurants and cafes. There are various museums and other landmarks to visit.

A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan...
A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan National Park. A nice place to relax amongst the cool green shady trees. A few good eating options around. The Dilijan Art Gallery is excellent with some great examples of Soviet era art. A wonderful lady who spoke very good English took us on a guided tour and her explanations were really clear and insightful. The 50 Year Anniversary monument of Soviet Armenia is really impressive.
I recently stayed at this newly opened hotel, and it was an absolute delight. The charming exterior and interior design added to its appeal, complemented by the picturesque surroundings of a river and forest. The breakfast exceeded expectations, featuring a diverse and delicious spread. The staff's thoughtful gesture of complimentary sparkling wine further enhanced the overall experience. Highly recommend for a memorable stay.
The Location. It is in the center of Dilijan. Few meters walk to restaurants, groceries and taxi pick-up.
Place is also well known to the locals and property owners are very accommodating, friendly and respectful.
It is a good place to stay for pure rest, away from work, stress, busy lifestyle.
Stay in Dilijan if you come to Armenia to destress and experience the locql.
Dilijan is for nature loving people.
Excellent hotel with a good location in Dilijan, extremely clean & comfortable.
The hotel welcomed us with room upgrades, fresh juice and wide smiles.
We liked everything: room was clean and spacious, food was really delicious made with the best traditions of the Armenian cuisine, the wellness area, i.e pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi was a dream after a long day.
Breakfast was nice, sufficient variety
The hotel is conveniently located a few kilometres away from Dilijan town centre. We were allocated a spacious room with a double bed and a single bed, as requested. We also had a baby cot and a high chair for our 1-year old baby. Breakfast was lovely! We also enjoyed a delicious homemade dinner. Armen and his staff truly went the extra mile to make our stay a memorable one! Thank you very much!
Lilith the owner of the hotel she is a very good-natured and hospitable woman. They met me very well and treated me to tea and cake. In the morning they asked how I slept and what I wanted for breakfast. In a word, as if I came to visit an Armenian family, I was taken very well taken care of. They have pretty nice garden 🪴. Highly recommended 🤍
Lovely old - style hotel with esthetic decor! Nice rooms, well heated with additional heaters. Very comfortable bed and a lovely view over Dilijan. Central location, everything can be reached by foot in a few minutes. Staff was very helpful and the reception speaks English. The restaurant is very good, with interesting and delicious dishes!
+ The hosts are very nice and friendly couple. We were feeling very welcome there!
+ Delicious and versatile breakfast - even more than we could eat. Btw, it was the only hotel in our trip that served us proper coffee - not just an instant one.
+ Nice view on Dilijan from the balcony. Very enjoyable.
I liked everything, it really feels like home with great hospitality. Loved each and every bit here, the place is very calm, closer to the city, the rooms are beautiful and well organized. Kitchen is well equipped, we can cook anything. I recommend this place whoever is planning to visit Dilijan
My stay in Petit Dilijan was perfect! The owner, Hrant, is trying to make your visit so comfort that you could forget it is a hotel but feel like staying at your relatives' home. Specially want to mention breakfast, it's excellent, made of local products and so huge😊 Hope to come back)
Tatev at the front desk and Ashot in the dining room/restaurant were enough for us to want to come back. Ashot was the most attentive/attuned service worker I’ve met in Armenia. excellent people with excellent training. That reflects well on the managers for sure. breakfast was good.
Small family hotel in the center of old Dilijan. Very clean, comfortable rooms, next to a good restaurant where you can have breakfast and dinner. Wonderful hospitable hosts, ready to help with everything. We really liked it, one of the best hotels during the entire trip to Armenia.
The hotel is absolutely new and modern but and at the same time was built in Armenian style. The building, rooms and restaurant are perfect. We had luxury room and it was amazing, well decorated, clean and there was everything we need.
Very friendly family in an older, I assume typical Armenian family house. Quiet residential area in beautiful Dilijan. I was offered Armenian tea and cake after my arrival, both of which were yummy. Everything needed was provided.
