Friendly staff: The staff was helpful and accommodating, we were not told we had to pay in cash until we arrived, but the owner allowed us to pay via PayPal without an extra fee.
Quiet location: Despite being near a bar, the noise was minimal, especially during your stay. However, this may vary during peak season when the bar closes later and there are more people.
Convenient amenities: The accommodation offers a water dispenser, shared fridge, and shared kitchen for guest use.
Great location: Close to downtown tour agencies, restaurants, the beach, and flamingo sightings.
Cleanliness: The room was cleaned daily, and towels were provided fresh each day.

The owner and his wife were very friendly. They made sure our stay was going well. We had a slight issue with the water handle and it was fixed in minutes. The location was great, the staff were excellent and provided wonderful customer service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits the island.

The location right on the beach and close to town was ideal. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant offered excellent food at good value. When we ran into a medical problem the manager and staff helped us out enormously.

We enjoyed Isabel Island the most of the three Islands we stayed at. Fantastic wildlife. The sunrises and sunsets, long beach walks, Los Tunnels Tour, bike rental, trails, tortoise natural reserve, plenty of shops for fresh fish and produce, plenty of restaurants with delicious food, panaderias with baked goods and early morning coffee. Awesome locals that were very friendly and helpful. Exceeded all our expectations.

We enjoyed traveling beyond Santa Cruz Island for a few nights, just to experience the "vibe" of a different island. The town of Puerto Villamil is relaxed, very friendly and a charming beach town. Most of the area is walkable, though taxis were very cheap (less than $5).

Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor...
Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor infrastructure and low level restaurants. And it's extremely expensive for a European, especially if you come from a non Euro-country given the appreciation of the USD. We struggled to find a decent restaurant and it turned out that the Mexican was the best (full every night). To give you an example of cost, a main course was between USD19-30 which in eg Spain would have been aprox USD8. Price/quality ratio is among the worst we've experienced.
Ecuador, especially the islands, is a cash only-no receipt-economy with the purpose of squeezing the last dollar out of the tourists. We left with few intentions of returning which is a shame given the amazing animals and nature. People are mostly very friendly and helpful which was a nice.

The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different...
The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different than Puerto Ayora and Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on the other islands. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and I wish we'd planned this stop toward the end of the trip instead of right at the beginning. Make sure you do a trip to Los Tuneles while you're there - the scenery is fantastic and it was the best snorkeling we had on our week in the islands.

Puerto Villamil is small but welcoming and very beautiful...
Puerto Villamil is small but welcoming and very beautiful with great opportunities for snorkeling, walking, biking, swimming, kayaking etc. Most restaurants seem to serve "pizza" for tourists, but it's possible to avoid that for more traditional and delicious fare. The local beer is good, the people are friendly and it's well worth the effort to visit. The wildlife is spread around the island, but you can experience an incredible variety in the near vicinity - flamingos, penguins, sea lions, manta rays, sea horses, turtles, tortoises, iguanas, lava lizards, blue-footed/nazca boobies and other incredible sea birds, sharks and colourful fishes, I can't wait to go back :)

Nice place, really relaxing.
Nice place, really relaxing. Not too many good options to go out for dinner and the nice restaurants are quite expensive. But this is the rule in Galapagos.
If you don't have much money, I would not recommend to stay many nights here, because the day trips are hugely expensive and there is not many free options otherwise staying in the central beach.

Excellent Apartment Hotel in Isabela, our host Nancy was attentive and communicated with us during our entire stay, she was willing to help us with anything. The hotel seems brand new! The kitchen, with coffee maker, is a really nice to have, especially if you plan on a more extended stay. Drinking water was provided and much appreciated. The hotel is a 7-10min easy walk from downtown/beach, little "tienda" market next door. Our favorite stay in Galapagos, would not hesitate to stay here again! Thank you!
The cozy hotel is located across the street from the beach very close to the main area of Puerto Viamill. It offers private rooms as well as dorms, breakfast is not included but can be added for USD 10 each (which we found too pricy). We liked the AC in the room and the small communal kitchen. Highlight of the stay was definitely the very helpful staff which helped us with organizing tours as well as a cab for the very early ride back in the morning to the ferry port.
Ramon was an excellent host. Breakfast was served when we wanted it between 7 and 9 right on the edge of the beach. Great views, beach access, and lounging chairs (shaded when needed). Our second floor room had a large private balcony with comfortable chairs. Bicycles and snorkeling gear (including wetsuits) were available for rent on-site and Ramon set up all of the day tours we wanted to take. If we're ever back in the Galapagos, we'll definitely stay here.
This place was so nice! It’s right in front of the beach, you can listen the waves at night. It’s the last hotel on the street, which is very nice if you appreciate silence and peace.
The staff from the hostel were beyond nice! My boyfriend had to go to the hospital and they helped us with everything they could. From driving us to the hospital to making some nice breakfast for him.
I highly recommend this place!
Hotel Albemarle is a great hotel and I can't recommend it enough. Tim the owner, a New Zealander, is a cool dude and the hotel staff is great and highly attentive. Juliette in particular helped me with every aspect of my trip, from booking dinners and activities as well as making me feel welcome as a solo traveler. I had a great time, and look forward to returning and exploring more of the Galapagos Islands :)
Situated in a fantastic location this hostel/hotel has everything you need. A huge kitchen with all the crockery etc. you need. Allocated fridge space, microwave, hob & oven. Free drinking water throughout the property. The icing on the cake is this huge rooftop area with splendid views over the town square and the sea. Separate drying are for your clothes.
I got an upgrade to a hotel, so far the best stay on the Galapagos. The staff was waiting at the port and I got a free lift to the hotel. Giancarlo was really friendly and ensured the best comfort and also gave tips around the trips one can do on the island.
The room is very spacious, no outage of hot water, and the local pool+jakuzzi is a plus.
Incredible location right on the beach. Recent upgrades to the bathroom (new tile), new bed linens in a fresh beachy color. Good size room.
Like most of Ecuador, the hotel does not accept credit cards directly. Instead, they used a PayPal app, and had a much smaller surcharge than most places (6% instead of 12%)
The owner and his wife were very friendly. They made sure our stay was going well. We had a slight issue with the water handle and it was fixed in minutes. The location was great, the staff were excellent and provided wonderful customer service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits the island.
Eva and her team were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of recommendations on where to go and what to do. The location of the hotel is amazing with a stunning view. You could feel that every detail was thought through, even the napkins in the restaurant were of high quality.
The owners run the hotel and are very friendly, honest and helpful. The bedroom is big, super clean and the shower is perfect. The location is safe and great. I loved the owners and had a great time in Isabela island.
A very nice place to stay in Puerto Villamil. Near everything and good value for money.
Mother Fanny and Silvana were very in lovely in sending us our clothes that we forgot in there.
Nice hotel on isabella with free drinking water. Host was very welcoming. Kitchen can be used by all. Also free washing of your clothes !! You can also book tours in the hotel.
Cormorant Beach house is amazing. It is very quiet and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We booked all our tours through the hotel and really enjoyed them.
Great to have a centrally located, family run hotel, with a breakfast. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I could walk to downtown, it is all very close.
