I had an issue with the internet, and it was ultimately my computer's fault, not the hotel's fault. However, the hotel had two wifis, one by the lobby that my computer connected to, and one in my room that my computer did not connect to. I asked if it was possible to change rooms to be closer to the wifi that worked.
The woman owner was already annoyed because I'd asked for help more than once. She told me no, that they were larger rooms, and it was my computer's fault, not her internets fault. When I tried to explain that I booked the room for the internet, and one of the internets was working and the other wasn't, she got incredibly hostile towards me, borderline yelled at me, scolded me for blaming her internet, and adamantly repeated that she would not give me another room.

What a beautiful and well kept city! Right next to the White Sands with a friendly community. We found everything we needed and didn’t even have time to get to see the Zoo in a neighboring city. We’ll be back!

We were just passing through and planned to see the White Sands the next day, but they were doing missle testing and it was closed, so we had to move on without seeing them. We do plan to go back for a longer stay.

We didn't spend much time in Alamogordo.
We didn't spend much time in Alamogordo. We drove from San Antonio TX, with the purpose of going to White Sands Natural Area. Staying in Alamogordo puts you about 14 miles, easy drive to the area. There are multiple restaurants and gas stations and coffee shops. Some of the restaurant chains were Appleby's, Chili's, Denny's, Starbucks and plenty of other known chains. Along with several Asian restaurants.

Alamogordo is a small town, but hosts many businesses and restaurants. There is an excellent Space Museum, White Sands National Monument, downtown zoo, and local museum. It is a fun destination for families or weekend get-aways.

The NM Space Museum in town was quite good.
The NM Space Museum in town was quite good. The town is also just a stones throw from White Sands National Park. Seems a good place to stop during a road trip. Be sure to stick with chain hotels to increase your chances of a better experience.
Heading from Tucson to Santa Fe and wanted to visit White Sands and stay nearby. Picked here and what an excellent choice, it's a nearly new hotel and the rooms are well equipped mini-suites. Very good complementary breakfirst, first wafflemaker of the trip (as a Brit I find them fascinating). No food within a walk so drove into Alamagordo and found a great local Mexican.
I didn’t
I was put in the back side parking to tight
A single women should not feel unsafe
Manager was not helpful
Had Luke warm water for a shower
Was told by the maintenance person that because the water heater is so far away it won’t get hot water ???
And because they are the cheapest in town
Contacted us ahead of our stay that the elevator was out of order. Having recently had knee replacements, I indicated that I would need a first floor room and they worked to accommodate us. Hot breakfast was the best of the different hotels we stayed at. We had two beds plus a sofa bed in the room.
King suite was spacious, comfortable and clean. One complaint - the pillows were terrible. They completely flattened when you laid your head down. Otherwise, the location was great for getting to White Sands. The breakfast was your typical hotel lobby fare - not wonderful but not terrible either.
Room was spacious and included two desks which allowed both me and my friend to use our laptops simultaneously. Bathroom temperature was about 5 degrees warmer than rest of the room, which is perfect! Hotel was located within easy walking distance to several dining restaurants.
Room was very clean and breakfast was delicious. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. I love that they updated an existing hotel. The price was very reasonable and would definitely stay again if I have the chance.
This place exceeded all of my expectations. Extremely clean and well maintained rooms and very good value for money. I can not stress this enough, this is the best 'budget hotel' I've ever stayed in.
Decent basic hotel. Small lobby. Very basic breakfast with no cooked food besides waffles. Room was clean, smelled like air freshener. Bed was comfortable, This hotel was entirely adequate.
Another great stay. They work hard to keep the property current. The most recent exterior remodel looks great! Best value in Alamogordo. My go-to place in town.
