It was fine. Clean and comfortable and right across the street from the gorge we had hoped to hike. Unfortunately it was pouring down rain, so that didn't work out, but we'd book there again! Great little bar/restaurant right around the corner that we walked to.

Lake view, friendly staff, only a mile from town & Watkins Glen State Park.

Watkins glen state Park, Havana glen Park both have amazing scenery and waterfalls. The state park is definitely a two hour plus hike all around and is worth every step. Havana Glen is a very short walk can be done in 30 mins however you are walking right alongside a gorgeous multi level waterfall. The town itself is gorgeous and clean very quaint and boutique like. The harbor front was absolutely stunning with endless views of Seneca Lake and a gorgeous boardwalk to take in all the views.
Highly recommend Lakewood Vineyards when driving along the wine trail. Everything is so close together from the parks to the wineries. Watkins Glen is truly a magical place . Recommend a minimum of two days to explore the main attractions at a leisurely pace

Very nice, clean town. Felt very safe walking at night.
Very nice, clean town. Felt very safe walking at night. Trails at the Glen were very nice walking, very scenic. Make sure to inquire about trail closures though. Gorge trail closes early November but South rim was closed for maintenance this time.

The Gorge trail is something you need to see.
The Gorge trail is something you need to see. You can take all the pictures you want, but it doesn’t portray just how mesmerizing it is. We went early in the morning and hardly anyone was there and we were able to take our time and enjoy it, but by the time we headed back up the gorge, it was crowded.
If you are staying in town, and looking for a good restaurant, Jerlandos Italian restaurant is a great option. Very reasonable prices and the best garlic bread. If you like the old motor courts, then you’ll like Gorgeous View Motel. Very basic room, but clean and has a microwave, fridge and coffee pot in the room. Driveway up to the room is a little sketchy, but you have a nice view of the lake from your porch.
After you visit Watkins Glen, a few miles down the road in Montour Falls is a waterfall right in town. It’s worth making a detour to see it

There are so many wineries! One could spend days just visiting wineries. The town is quaint. Lots of restaurants to choose from. My only disappointment was that i didn't have time to see the falls.

Absolutely spectacular. Biucket list place to visit.
Absolutely spectacular. Biucket list place to visit. We spent all afternoon hiking in the Glen. The waterfalls and trails are beautiful. Get the shuttle pass. Start at the north lot and hike down then use the shuttle to go back up and do the rim trails. Use the shuttle to go back up again. The ice cream at the north lot is excellent. Wear anti slip hiking boots. everything is wet. Try to go on a non race weekend. It was a little crowded and of course not everyone is polite. People can get crazy with their selfie sticks. Defintely wirth a trip. Great little town and jump off point to do the wine trail around Seneca lake.
This hotel is excellent - it has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The rooms are very spacious and we had a great view of the lake. The fitness centre was excellent. We didn’t have breakfast but enjoyed dinner and drinks in the restaurant and bar. The complimentary tea/coffee and cookies/lemonade were a nice touch. The location is perfect right by the lake and walking distance to all the amenities in Watkins Glen as well as the state park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay again.
The hotel room was very clean, roomy and comfortable, with everything in good working condition. The fridge was large, microwave was a bonus, and air conditioner worked great. Everything was very clean, and service was great. The hotel was well situated close enough to the park, downtown strip and other amenities so we just left our car parked at the hotel and were able to walk to most places. No hassles with traffic or parking. This hotel was an excellent value for the price.
Breakfast was perfect - Dining with the other guests made it really special, talking about our days ahead, and getting to know people from all around the States, as well as the hosts.
Watkins Glen, and Lake Seneca - are excellent places - Wineries, Breweries, boat ride, as well as hiking on the trails kept us busy during our stay.
Really enjoyable stay
The manager (I think) checked me in and was very helpful. She gave me a map and marked where we could get a meal as well as explaining some of the trails at Watkins Glen.
The room was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located within walking distance of Watkins Glen State Park which was what we were in town to see.
We booked it because it was close to Watkins Glen State Park- easy walking distance. Also wanted to try the homemade ice cream- which was delicious. Unfortunately we did not get to try the pizza because of the rain, but it smelled amazing. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Had a great stay.
The location is nice- super short walk to the Watkins Glen state park and a ten minute walk to downtown and harbor. Also right on the Seneca lake wine trail. Rooms were nicely furnished and very clean and comfortable. Owners were super nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location in Watkins Glen. Pretty view of Seneca Lake. Nice folks checking in. We liked the porch area that we could sit out although it is not private. The room was quiet in spite of the hotel being full. The bathroom is a little dated but it has all that you need. We would stay again.
It was close to Watkins Glen State Park, pet-friendly, included an evening campfire, a special lounge near the campfire for guests, walking trails, free coffee all day long, and a restaurant on site. Also, it was spread out, quiet, and the grounds were well maintained.
The room we stayed in was recently renovated. Very clean. Nice view of Seneca Lake from the back window/back patio. About a two minute drive from downtown Watkins Glen. The restaurant menu was short but the food was very good and the service was great.
The location in Montour Falls is very convenient for a visit to Watkins Glen State Park, roughly 2 miles north. Across the street from the motel is an entrance to a rail trail hiking/biking path that leads right into the city of Watkins Glen.
Recently remodeled. Very nicely done. Morning Breakfast was excellent and modified by the staff. Awesome lake view on the front deck. Located just outside of Watkins Glen, a cozy town with the amazing State Park.
Located right in the center of town. Easy walk to the restaurants and shops, marina and Watkins Glen park. The free parking at the hotel makes it easy. The room was clean and the pool was warm.
excellent location in Watkins Glen. Short walk to the Glen State Park. Convenient to Seneca Lake wineries. Enjoyed sitting outside the rooms on lawn chairs.
Nice, clean hotel in Watkins Glen. The front desk person was very helpful and we appreciated the easy check in and check out. Would gladly stay here again.
