Belgrade is a wonderful city, lots of history and unique places to see, definitely the park with the fortress ruins and the Military Museum have to be on your "to visit" list, the Zoo is also close by. Belgrade is just one of those cities that breathes life into you. You have endless choices in terms of cafes, restaurants, bars, parks, neighbourhoods... Public transport is free which is a big plus. If you're here in 2025, make sure to support a local protest or blockade. Be careful of taxi rates and drivers.
Be careful of taxi rates and drivers. Most of them do not use a taxi meter, and you have to negotiate the price at the start. They are always up to scam you, since they have so called weekend rates, night rates, rush traffic rates, private company rates etc. Taxis can only be white color cars, any other car will scam you even worse, and might even rob you. Be extra careful, and make sure you negotiate prices before you get into the cab. If genious offers you a taxi rate from the airport to the city take it, as it is 1/3 cheaper than getting a taxi on your own.Guest review byJosipa

At a short distance you find supermarkets, nice restaurants, bars, the university, tourist attractions, the main shopping street and a stop for many bus lines. The apartment itself is very cozy and has everything you need for your stay. And Jovanna and her parents were very helpful and nice.
