Córdoba is a spectacular city!
Córdoba is a spectacular city! Full of history and culture on every corner. I visited the Mezquita-Catedral, participated in a free walking tour of the city with Artencordoba, went to Arab baths and finished off with a guided tour of the Medina-Azahara, 6km outside the city. So many places to eat delicious Spanish food and soak up the atmosphere. Go in May for the Patio Festival, it should be amazing.Guest review bySiobhan - 10.0

Probably one of the best cities I’ve visited. I confess I do love history and Archaeology. The scale is its best quality. Everything in short walking distance, unlike some of the other more obvious tourist destinations. No Ubers or taxis. No Metros or trains. The amount of quality restaurants, bars and hotels is incredible. The city, although it doesn’t feel like a city in full of charm and history.. We were not in Cordoba for very long, and certainly could have visited for longer. What a beautiful city, by day and at night (the Roman Bridge was an amazing experience to walk at night!). A beautiful town. Well worth the visit, we only stayed one night. Did the bus tour to get an overall idea and then walked the walled old town. It is very picturesque and wasn’t too busy at the time of our visit - early July. Easy to arrive by train and walk - although it can get very hot in the afternoons. Cordoba is small and compact, easy to walk around. The outstanding attraction is the cathedral-mosque. If you only do one thing go there. There are lovely tapas bars and hidden small plaza gems in the laneways. Caution it can be very hot in the summer months, high 30's during our visit in June. In the Middle Ages Cordoba was the centre of the world. Still a magical place to visit. The old city has a lot of charm still, and the Roman Bridge and adjacent district are lovely.
