Rovinj is a beautiful town with a unique charm — the old town is stunning, full of narrow alleys, great restaurants, and a lively but not overwhelming atmosphere. Beaches nearby are rocky but the water is incredibly clear, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Parking can be difficult during peak hours, and walking distances can be long in the heat, so having a car helps. Rovinj is a beautiful, small, and artistic old town with many excellent restaurants, great food, and charming little alleys and corners. We were in Rovinj during the last week of June, and daytime temperatures averaged around 32–33°C — very warm. Unfortunately, the temperature at night didn’t drop below 24–25°C, which means you need air conditioning running 24/7 which works well. The air is humid, and you tend to sweat a lot. Even at that time of year (outside the official holiday season), the town was already full of tourists, especially retirees — I assume they were aiming for good summer weather while avoiding peak holiday season. Because the town is so touristy, it is generally expensive. You can eat very well, but a meal for two will usually cost between €80 and €100. Even for fish that are caught just a few meters away in the sea, restaurants right next door charge €35–45, which feels a bit hard to understand. The region around Rovinj is also worth exploring, with many small and beautiful villages. If I were to go again, I would probably choose May, beginning of June or from September onwards instead.Guest review byRadanSwitzerland - 10.0

Rovinj is one of the most beautiful towns I have ever visited. It is unspoilt with its colourful houses and cobbled streets. A Place i loved and thought the time of 3 nights was too short. The Red Island visit in a private speed boat was magnificent n theres a guy Johnny right below the building on the harbour giving you offers to take u to various islands n boat rides. Walk through old town with its Harbour facing restaurants. A walk in the Punta Corrente forest park n local swimming within its areas was magnificent. Set in a boutique square in the old town with a wonderful cafe next door, run by 2 very friendly sisters. All the facilities were great and included a few treats. I loved the bed and bedroom … haven’t slept so well in years! Paola met us in arrival, helped us with our bags and showed us around the apartment.
