The weather in Puerto Vallarta is amazing. We have been in Puerto Vallarta in 2023 and again in 2024 (10 day trips each year) and the weather is a sunny copy-paste every single day. Make sure to also visit old Vallarta, it has shopping, good food and night life! Nuevo Vallarta is amazing and more relaxing, but there are not as many things to do. It depends what you're looking for!

We only walked around after getting to Centro/Zona Romantica. We were able to walk to several great beaches, amazing restaurants, lookouts over the city, markets, etc. We never got to all of the restaurants and activities that we wanted to do! There is so much! The sunsets from the malecon are not to be missed!

This Hacienda exceeds all others by a long shot. It is conveniently located right in the center of the Romantic Zone but just off the main drag enough to be very very quiet. The rooms are beautifully appointed with an incredible eye for detail. Super clean pool and hot tub, blackout curtains, little amenities everywhere. This place is a gem. If you can get it, go for it. You won’t find a better place.

Good value for what I paid, 2 pools, right on the beach, relatively quiet, I had a delicious breakfast, and watched beautiful sunsets. The wifi for me was working fine. There are some high end restaurants at this end of the playa which I hadn't previously known of, it's less crowded at this end, and the water in the bay is perfect for swimming. Pretty architecture and nice staff. Old world charm.

We were told we had to sign up for the turtle releasing but that we were not allowed as children had to be accommodated before anyone else can be included. They sign us up at Playa Los Arcos and then on the beach they did not check anyone, it was actually open to the public.

Overall, there's no issue sleeping here.
