Villach was very pretty, immaculate presentation
Villach was very pretty, immaculate presentation Heaps of bars and restaurants Several bars had the complimentary self proclaimed pretend tough guys ( assume regulars) being loud which was off putting to patronise that bar, but there are others to go to Well worth a night if stopping over on the trainGuest review byRobertAustralia - 10.0

Velden is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in Austria or Europe. I drive there every year at least once for a weekend in summer. The restaurants and food options could get better, but the rest of everything is perfectGuest review bySam ViennaAustria - 10.0
Great skiing resort.
Great skiing resort. Many ski-lifts and pistes to explore and they are all well prepared. The pistes are not too difficult, most of them are of medium difficulty, but there are also some pistes suited for learning skiers. There is also a possibility to trek to the nearest peaks with or without the help of ski-lifts. The wellness is also great with an outside heated pool from where you can see the ski pistes. The area is well suited for families since it is peaceful and quiet.Guest review byMarioSlovenia - 10.0

Sadly our hotel could not offer an evening meal as they had a group staying, but there are some excellent restaurants in the town: Pörtschacher Stüble, Sissi’s, Werzers Bootshaus (newly opened in May 2025) and Little Italy were our favourites. The young waitress in Little Italy was a lesson in how to wait at tables-such professionalism and always a big smile! We are in our 70s and less mobile than we once were, but getting around was very easy. The ferry runs all day; we spent many happy hours on it. You can buy a day ticket for about 22 euros and can hop on and off. We bought a weekly ticket for 48 euros and got our money’s worth! We loved it so much that I hesitate to tell people about it! Ryanair flies to Klagenfurt twice a week. From there a 15 minute taxi ride brings you to Pörtschach.Guest review byJackyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The village and the surroundings are beautiful, good food in the restaurants. We missed a cafe open in the morning :). The church and its surroundings are incredibly beautiful and well-kept: no wonder it is the symbol of the village.Guest review byBorbálaHungary - 10.0

It's easy to drive from there to the many lakes in Carinthia, as well as to Klagenfurt, and the hosts provide an abundance of catalogs and brochures on what else there is to do in the region. But it's also an absolute pleasure to just stay home, sit outside by the pool and have a swim, or just relax indoors. We are self catering, so we did our own shopping, and supermarkets are within a few minutes drive. The kitchen is very well equipped so we could cook whatever we wanted to cook. We can't wait to go back! Truly!Guest review byTalaAustria - 10.0
We visited in December, over New Years.
We visited in December, over New Years. Seeboden is well located to reach lots of hiking trials after only a few mins car drive (or bus). The ski area Goldeck is also only 15-20mins away by car. Shops, hotels and restaurants are all in walking distance. The view from the lake shore is beautiful and calming. We ate most of the time in our hotel, Moserhof, because we liked their food a lot. Once we ventured out to Postwirt and again we liked it so much that we went back another time. Great food for decent money. And the service really surprised us in both places. Super friendly people who anticipate your next wish before you have voiced it, but all without being intrusive.Guest review byHeikeUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The staff was great and the room was very comfortable.
The staff was great and the room was very comfortable. Fast wi-fi and slippers and robe in the room. Parking was free and just outside the hotel. There is no elevator if you are on upper floors. Short walk to the abbey which is now an arts center and to the local beach although you could swim in the lake right from the hotel property.Guest review byJosephUnited States - 10.0
