This is our 3rd visit to Sixty Six and we love it. The rooms are warm and well appointed, we had a Studio Apartment this time and the room was large and the layout exceptional. We avoid taking the car while there as it is a lovely walk to the city but the bus stop is also handy and the different restaurants are amazing. Fantastic location and will have us going back forever.

The location was perfect, everything we needed was very close. Parking was added and great. The breakfast was superb, with great options and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and great at communication - all extra effort items with no direct benefit (but so invaluable)

Reception staff were attentive and cooperative upon arrival. Room was well presented and clean. Room was serviced on the second day to a high standard. Extended checkout was requested and allowed for by reception which was much appreciated - and all done with a smile. Location is good too.

Just loved it all. The space, The cleanliness. The peace. Being waited on. What wasn't there to like about a time out, with a best bud, in a beautiful hotel getting pampered at the nearby Spa.

Hobart is a beautiful city full of old architecture which adds to the vibe of the place. Loved the jazz scene at Pablo’s, fresh oysters at blue eye and boutique distilleries( the still). Enjoyed shopping at Goodbyes and Bruce- preloved designer shops that are well curated. Visiting Moma on the ferry ( worth paying a few extra dollars to experience “the posh pit”) was an experience and a highlight- bottomless champagne and delicious canapés- while the museum was something else! Hired a bmw for a few days from eurocar - very affordable. Drove out through the suburbs discovering a few antique, vintage retro stores. Visited mt Wellington in the afternoon and the heated seats in the hire car were warmly welcomed. Food in Tasmania is vast, fresh, varied ( multi cultural) and affordable. Tasmanians are welcoming and friendly folk. Used the metro public transport system once and it was very user friendly and affordable. Easy city to walk around.

A great place to start when you fly into Hobart. Just over 20 minutes away from the airport. This small town is packed with historic sites, shops, and eateries, and surrounded by an excellent wine region. Riversdale Estate would be top of our list! Everyone was welcoming and helpful.

Kingston Hotel had extremely large rooms and was on the opposite block to Coles supermarket and other shops. The rooms were separate from the hotel which enabled a very quiet sleep. Shiploads and Chemist etc were just outside the door approx 50m an easy walk. Didn't get a chance to see anything else.

We enjoyed a good meal at the Bush Inn pub which was a stroll from the property .It's claim to fame is it's Australia's oldest continuously operating licensed hotel, established in 1815. There is a bit of history around New Norfolk and a pleasant river walk.

It needs to be modernised and renovated. Bathroom sink in bedroom?!?!? Old, dingy, and mouldy. The heater crackled and popped. Didn't feel secure. Could hear every thing the next door was saying. Bed was rock hard and horrible to sleep in. Carpet felt dirty.

    Loved Mount Rumney.

Loved Mount Rumney. Prepare for a bit of a drive up and road can be a bit dicey, but well worth it if you take your time. Glad we stayed the 5 days. So relaxing. We went out daily to various places and it was so good to come back to Wombat house to wind down with the wonderful view and a nice cold drink lol. We went to Old Hobart Town in Richmond, which young ones should love, as it is a miniature of Hobart back in the day. Just like doll houses. You can also visit Richmond gaol. We went to Campbeltown and Ross to see the bridges built by the convicts. Visited Port Arthur and was amazed with the changes and work they have done there. We are lucky we weren't born back then and a convict. Got the ferry from Bellerive to Salamanca Markets and had a good walk around. Went to Mausons Hut museum and then back on ferry. Much easier than trying to park in Hobart. Overall, Mount Rumney is a great starting point for tourists.

My partner and I are Octogenarians, and as such our needs and expectations may differ significantly to much younger persons. There was nothing that stood out as being particularly interesting to us; it was a visit just to see another another City and it's people. We had hoped to visit MONA, but as luck would have it, it was closed whilst we were in Hobart for regular maintenance etc. Nevertheless, this will give us an excuse for another visit another day!
