We had a wonderful stay at Little Garden Guest House. It was the perfect blend of comfort, culture, and hospitality. Akshay and his family were exceptional hosts, warm, attentive, and thoughtful. The property is very clean and beautifully maintained, showcasing the charm of traditional haveli architecture. What really stood out was the personal touch: they even packed us sandwiches and fruits for our early morning flight, which was incredibly kind. If you’re looking for an authentic stay in a heritage hotel to experience local architecture and culture, this is the place. Highly recommend!

The behaviour of the staff was very helpful. Early check-in was available as we had requested and we were also allowed to do 30 mins late check-out. They even helped us by keeping our luggage for 4-5 hours after we checked out. The room size was fine, the bathroom was very clean and well ventilated. hot water was available 24 hrs, The place was very close to the lake pichola and 200 meters away from ambrai ghat where you can have a good refreshing morning or evening walk Also the city palace is 600 m walking distance Breakfast was priced reasonably fine, and bread + masala omelette was good

    all here is a rip off, the palace entry fee only lets you wonder around 30% of the property as its still a private residence, and in bad shape and need of refurbishment and all other landmarks inside need further payment, its dirty overcramped, broken roads, constant car honking, beggars and scammers, would'nt recommend udaipur to the locals not to mind the visitors

    I stayed for two nights at Hotel Lake Pichola and for two...

    I stayed for two nights at Hotel Lake Pichola and for two nights at Taj Fateh Prakash. Four days is good to cover the main tourist spots at Udaipur and also visit the nearby Kumbalghar fort(overall 08 hrs trip). We visited in mid Jun. The weather was very hot and not suited for travelling in open. Recommend visit Udaipur between October to March. The monsoons are also a reasonably good option i.e. Aug to Sep. Avoid visiting during Apr to July although the hotel rates are slashed to 50% during this period. The people in Rajasthan are generally helpful and honest. They speak hindi.

    A nice, calm alternative to the bustling other cities in Rajasthan, which can be visited almost exclusively on foot. Wonderful lakes with a stunning fort and other sites. Food and drink very good wherever we went.

    The city is beautiful and the palace is worth the visit. We missed South Indian and other flavours, the food has too much dairy here. One time I had a mild food poisoning after ordering palak paneer. One has to be more careful with some food during low season. The old centre is worth exploring but you have to be careful with the motor bikes. For foreign women solo travellers it is not so pleasant as women to be walking in the center due to unwanted attention from men and questions even when dressed modestly. Group tours are nicer since the attention of the monologue is more balanced.

    We were glad that we decided to stretch our stay to three days in Udaipur. It’s such a special place with lots of rooftops, making it ideal for sunset/sunrise viewing. Idyllic and relaxing city in comparison to others we have been tto… Easy to get around. The city palace was as spectacular as the boat ride around lake pichola. The bats at dusk were amazinggggg. You are in for a treat!

The hotel offers world class hospitality along with historical wonders the city has to offer. The staff was warm and welcoming.     As someone said before, it is the best hostel in India. It's clean. Real clean, not like the other Indian hostels and hotels. And the location is perfect, near the old town and with the best view (literally) in Udaipur. They are very easy going and friendly, and they even upgraded our room for free since it was low season and there were not so many tourists in town. Overall a really positive experience here. We enjoyed a beer at sunset on the rooftop that we will remember forever.

    the hotel is in a great location from which you can visit udaipur on foot and every comfort is around the hotel. the room and bathroom are very clean and really comfortable (the best hotel I found in three months of india for the quality/price ratio). the room and bathroom are much better than what you can see in the photos. top marks to the staff, super available at any time and for any request. thank you very much and I hope to see you again soon

    This is a little luxury place without the luxury prices in the centre of the old town in Udaipur. Breakfast is great & dinner was awesome ! The owner speaks very good english & is a tour guide for the palace,so go with him, he is extremely helpful in suggesting what to do & where to go.We had a great 3 days there & wouldn't hesitate in returning & recommending to friends.
