Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay is overall similar to typical mid-range seaside resorts in the Canary Islands, Malta or Greece, such as Radisson and alike. Not particularly luxurious, but very decent and comfortable. The room was spacious and nice and provided a panoramic view over the Kotor Bay and the mountains. Two outdoor swimming pools are great, whereas the restaurant and the whole coastal area are indeed very upscale and are therefore the best part of the resort.

The staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful I’ve interacted with. Always kind, available, and happy to assist with anything like parking, directions, food, or anything else. There is also plenty of parking right on the property or just across the street. That is a truly valuable thing if you are visiting by car during the busy season.

The old town is beautiful, but too crowded and touristy. I would have preferred a more authentic historic center. The sea, a 10-minute drive from the center, is wonderful. Bathrooms always paid (50 cent or 1 eur).

We spent a great 4 days at Kotor.

We spent a great 4 days at Kotor. This allowed us to visit the town itself and several nearby attractions. We were able to travel up the cable car, a day visit to Perast (including a water taxi to Our Lady of the Rocks) and a walk up to the fortress. All unhurried. A few more days would have seen us venture further out and maybe take a boat trip around the bay. The old town can be very busy when cruise ships are alongside so we chose these days to explore other attractions. The location and scenery is magnificent. Food and drink aplenty. Tivat airport is only small and can be very busy during peak season.

It has become very popular on social media, it was as beautiful as i imagined. Kotor is surrounded by the mountains, and the sunsets and sunrises are incredible. We went for some adventures, and booked rafting on the Tara river, paragliding and planned to go up the Kotor Cable car and ride the mountain coaster. The people are friendly, there were some great places to eat. I don’t think that the infrastructure is ready for the increase in tourism, the roads are mostly single lanes around, through and over the mountains, there are some big roadworks taking place and it took nearly 2 hours to travel 20 kms. There was an accident on one road and it was took 4 hours to clear, this closed a major route. By their own admittance, the driving there is a bit crazy with little regard for the rules for the road, pedestrian crossings and red lights. That said, it has some beautiful buildings, interesting history and the scenery is incredible, i hope that the increase in tourism doesn’t spoil it too much.

Kotor is a beautiful place, but there isn't lot's to do.

Kotor is a beautiful place, but there isn't lot's to do. Definitely look at walking up the Ladder of Kotor and not the fortress wall route. It's free, has a drink and food hut part way up, it's a longer but shallower gradient and has MUCH nicer views. Plus you don't get some mardy local demanding money. The cable car is easy to get to and well worth the views and a cocktail. I went to Dubrovnik for the day which is very easy (leave on the first available bus to avoid border crossing issues and weekday if you can). A nice change of pace. Some good places to eat - specifically for meat eaters BBQ Tanjga, La Cathedral for pasta and Ombra for a few options (bit more spenny) and Pizza Pronto for a quick easy and very tasty by the slice pizza.

Beautiful city, walk away from the cruise ships if you want a taxi, they will try and rip you off f they think you are from the cruises. Old town has some lovely any restaurants. If you can make it, walk up the city wall to get a gorgeous view of the bay. Local people so friendly. Hire a private speed boat to get a tour of the Lady in the rock church and Perast island, you can barter for a good deal. Highly recommend 'La Catedral' pasta bar, it's tiny but the pasta was amazing and there's always a queue to get in at night so go early evening, 5/6ish or for lunch!

The city center is undeniably charming, but it's extremely overcrowded (I visited beginning of July). The sheer number of tourists makes it feel overwhelming, and the prices are well beyond what you’d expect.. even for a popular destination. Traffic is another issue; even short trips can take up to an hour due to long queues. You can also sense that the local workers are overwhelmed and burned out, which unfortunately shows in their lack of politeness and patience.

The best accommodation experience abroad. They were extremely helpful in making us feel comfortable. The room is very clean, there are all kinds of disposable items you might need. With its location right in front of Kotor beach, the old town is within walking distance. We stayed here for 7 days, rented a car for 4 days and visited other cities in Montenegro. You can get information about boat tours, places to visit, in short, everything. We felt like at home. Thank you again for your pleasant conversations and hospitality.

I rate this house 10 stars! We were pleasantly surprised by its prime location in the old town of Kotor, Montenegro. This allowed us to easily walk and enjoy the charming scenery and local eateries. The ability to cook in the well-equipped kitchen was a great bonus. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the heart of Kotor. ~ Love from Malaysia

The location is brilliant, less than 5 minutes to the town and old town walls. It is very spacious, comfortably fitting all 6 of us. The living areas had plenty of seating. The host was very decent, spoke great English and gave us plenty of ideas for day trips. All in all, a really good place to fit a large family and well placed for visiting the sights of Montenegro.
