we stayed in Sorrento for seven nights, i’ll plan to stay for four nights in Sorrento and go to Naples for three nights, but we loved it so much in Sorrento we decided to stay. A highlight was Pompeii and we had a boat trip. To Amalfi. The rest of the three nights we moved to a Mountain region, about 20 minutes from Sorrento city which is lovely.Guest review byHelen - 8.0
Sorrento can be difficult to fully enjoy.
Sorrento can be difficult to fully enjoy. Beaches are far with little public transport, and public beaches feel out of reach. Nearby cities are not easy to access, and while renting a car is an option, parking is a real challenge. Sorrento is just a lovely place to stay. The hotel we stayed in was fabulous. Great facilities and only a 2 minute walk from the main square. The restaurants were all really good and serving a great selection of different foods. We felt very safe and loved walking around the streets at night after dinner. Sorrento was lovely especially down at the harbour area. Our hotel was deliberately chosen a little bit out of the town centre to ensure a peaceful, quiet stay.
