Historic room was cozy, worked well for the two of us since we didn't spend much time in the room. The meals were good, not exceptional. Loved the wine delivered to our room package...with chocolates. Yum!

I didn’t have the breakfast but my husband said it was good. This is a bad/good thing-I lost my purse after checking out of hotel and went back to every place I’d been and no one found or turned it to any business. I called the hotel after checking earlier and asked to have room checked. Later the front desk lady called saying there was a post about a purse being found and turned into police station. I was able to get purse back with all contents still in it.

    We loved the hotel.

    We loved the hotel. The updates are very nice. construction was still going on. We did see lots of little things that will need to be redone. Breakfast was okay. Would have liked a rotating menu. Same thing every day. Limited choices. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The coffee was good!!!!

    The toboggan run at Pokagon State Park is fast and thrilling, The line is long, but worth the wait. Check out Caruso's Inn for dinner. Great Italian food and lovely atmosphere. Fremont/Angola is a great place for a family getaway!

    The hotel staff were nice - but the locals were not.

    The hotel staff were nice - but the locals were not. We had to go to a gas station and convenience store to get food and drink since the hotel had nothing because of COVID. At both nearby places, the locals were extremely rude. Also, at the gas station, some were downright scary.
