Staying at this property was like staying at home and with family - with the advantage of a stunning (almost exclusive) lake view, and in an authentic/historic building with roots dating to 1350. To give that family feeling, the staff were exceptionally welcoming including the owner, the reception (especially Beate and Paul), the waiters (especially Claudia). When you feel like a tea or coffee, the machine and tea selection is readily available by the terrace 24/7. When you’re a bit warm (as we stayed during a short heat wave in the summer), the staff bring a fan and have lemon coolers always filled. In between walks around the area, you encounter the friendly staff for a nice chat. As you have breakfast, the waitress remembers your water and coffee preference.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of entertainment facilities downstairs, such as a pool table, TV, etc., which the kids really enjoyed. There was also an adorable dog.

Wonderful staff, as soon as we left the room for breakfast, the cleaners swept in to tidy. Lots of very large fluffy towels and professional grade hairdryer. Shower and toilet area separate. Very attentive waiters and waitresses. Helpful receptionists. Very spacious room, beautifully furnished sitting area. Easy parking, something that does not apply to many hotels in Europe due to space constraints. Lovely views of the lake from our room and from the deck for swimming in the lake and sunbathing.It was nice to receive a pot of homemade jam when we left. Would stay there again anytime.

Cleanliness and professional courtesy of employees, especially in checking in and out. Employees in exercise facilities were very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was very good in restaurant and breakfast was excellent. Parking was good and not too far to walk.

The hotel is located in a quiet area with little tourism. It is a very family friendly and many guests travel with kids of all ages. My children had a wonderful time there playing with others. We had such a great time!

    Hotel has traditional Austrian ambiance and heritage. It is perfectly located with its own private access to the wonderful, clean lake. The buffet breakfasts offer many choices of fresh, traditional cuisine. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and many have view to the lake or a quiet pretty street. The staff is very profesional and friendly. We will certainly be coming back and highly recommending this hotel.

    The apartment is walking distance from everywhere in the town, it is a very good location! The apartmant itself is quiet and also very nice, has everything which is needed. The town, Altaussee is an excellent location for relaxing, we swimmed in the cristal clean lake, we did SUP and a lot of biking around. Our host was very supportive and very kind!!! We will definitely come back!!!

    Charming cottage in Altaussee with a very homely feel and a very nice host with a very fluffy dog. The apartment was comfortably large, clean and equipped with all necessities. A ski room was available with an accessible plug for electric boot warmers.
