My husband and I love visiting Door County Wisconsin.
My husband and I love visiting Door County Wisconsin. We have usually stayed in Egg Harbor but the price on the resort we've stayed at before seemed a bit on the high side. I opted for Ephriam as we planned to explore the more northern part of Door County and take the ferry over to Washington Island too. Ephriam is not as busy with gift shops as other towns there and we enjoyed the close proximity to the lake and the awesome sunsets. Our favorite restaurant is located in Ephriam as well. We enjoy the quieter, less busy areas and Ephriam was a perfect spot to stay. It's close enough to drive to the other popular spots but seemed less busy to us. Ephriam has a lot to offer but to walk around it you need to stay in South Ephraim. We parasailed and ate in town. We stayed on the North side and that was fun for the Red Putter. I would stay here again. The motel was quaint and very clean. The breakfasts were very good. Don’t miss out n the homemade donuts if available. They were amazing. The fish boil at the Old Post Office restaurant was fantastic. So much fun to watch and delicious to eat. Homemade cherry pie for dessert is included. Perfect location near Sister Bay and Fish Creek. Pretty little town!

Ephraim is a beautiful town! Gorgeous scenery and shoreline. Excellent restaurants delicious food! We had a great time at the Fish Boil at the Old Post Office. The Beach area and fire pits across the road make it really feel like getting away. I enjoyed the coffee and fresh baked cookies. There is also a wine and Cheese party in the evening and a basic continental breakfast in the mornings. Even though the hotel had no vacancies, it was very quiet.
