United StatesIf you don't plan to stay in an overwater bungalow then this is the place to stay. The beach at the hotel itself is rather modest, but the best beach in Bora Bora is Matira Beach, and it's only about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Going to Matira is a must! The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of several restaurants (for lunch or dinner). The staff are super friendly. The concierge desk is super helpful in booking excursions. What's also great is that the boat excursions pick you up right from the dock next to the hotel. The rooms themselves are modest, but clean. Importantly they have A/C (and not all places have that). Would recommend including breakfast as there aren't other breakfast options nearby. Breakfast itelf is overall pretty good (pancackes, french toast, bacon, eggs, fruits, yoghurt, croissants). They also arrange transportation to and from the hotel (ask in advance). As an example of the front desks kindness, I accidentally overpaid for the taxi service. They contacted me after I left, and sent me a refund in cash to my hotel in Papeete (on a different island!). We took a boat excrsion to a Motu (islet) where we had lunch, and another boat to snorkel. Both were amazing!

Lovely bungalows that are spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent beds. The rooms we were in seemed recently renovated. Staff is very nice and helpful. Service with changing to an overwater bungalow was impeccable. The beach restaurant was decent. The hotel is close to other restaurants and shops. Snorkeling in front of the hotel is okay. Plenty of tropical fish, eagle rays and maybe a shark or turtle if you’re lucky. Akane was so attentive to our needs as were all of the staff. It was so nice to be able to take a golf cart to our events in the main part of the resort. The bungalow was out of this world. We loved all the incense and decided to take home a whole big bottle of the Coqui Coqui. The view was incredible, the fish were colorful and the experience was nothing short of inspiring. Bora Bora is a slice of paradise. We rented a scooter for a day and saw the whole island. What was best was Rudolph at H2O was an amazing tour guide. Well worth the money. Our favourite place was on the lagoon. We hired a pontoon boat and spent a day on the water, one of the best experiences was snorkelling, swimming and relaxing. It was great. Lots of different fish, coral gardens and many sea life. Water was crystal clear and vibrantly blues and greens. Views were endless. Swam at Matira Beach. Wish I could go back there.
