Old town is very much a tourist area, food is below average at most of the restaurants, pricey and service is lacking all around Scottsdale- pack your own snacks. Lots of art shops however they don't keep regular hours so many were not open.

Rooms were nice and clean just a bit smaller and can use a few updates . On arrival and seeing the pool area I actually remembered that I'd stayed here before some years ago. I think it may have had some small renovations over the years. Everything about this hotel is fine for a short stay. Room was a good size, bed very comfortable and there's a fridge/freezer. The location is really good, very close to Tempe and downtown Scottsdale is only a short drive too. The area felt safe enough.

Staff overall were very friendly and helpful, and room service was very quick with a nice menu to choose from.
