Fantastic B&B in the center of Siena a few hundred meters from the main square and cathedral/ Super spacious room with unblocked view to garden and surroundings; decent breakfast; great (mandatory) valet service for car at affordable price. Overall we enjoyed the stay and hardly believed the very reasonable price for stay including breakfast. We got some good advice for a dinner place that we enjoyed very much.

The historic features were stunning and the views were fabulous. The bed was comfortable and the climate control system was excellent. What’s not to love about Siena?

The room was spacious with an unbelievable shower. We had a view of the old city wall and surrounding countryside. The breakfast was amazing even making omelets for breakfast. The refrigerator was full of all sorts of drinks and the host even provided us with a bottle of wine. The location was amazing and provided easy access to all the attractions. While there were many flights of stairs, the hosts managed our suitcases for us which was a major relief. Coming soon an elevator is being constructed which will remove the discomfort of the stairs.

Had a two-night stand at Casacenti. Piero is a great host, very easy to communicate with. The room is air-conditioned, which is very helpful during summer heat. The room is furnished with antique-looking furniture. The street is not too noisy despite its location not far away from Duomo. Breakfast is modest, yet both cornetto and pie were quite tasty, as well as freshly-brewed coffee. Beautiful view at Basilica Cateriniana from the kitchen.

Eat breakfast on the terrace at Campo Regio Relais while enjoying unforgettable views of Siena’s famous Torre del Mangia and Cathedral. Rooms are elegantly decorated with antique furniture.

Everything! We wouldn’t change a thing. The staff was excellent, the room lovely, the breakfast great and the view from the lounge was spectacular. Whenever we return to Siena we will stay at Residenza d’Epoca Campo Regio Relais.

B&B Governo dei Nove is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in the center of Siena, a 10-minute walk from Piazza del Campo and 26 miles from Piazza Matteotti.

The B&B Governo dei Nove is well located—within the old city walls, but a little removed from the Campo. If visiting during the Palio as I did, this is easy walking distance but far enough from the center to give you a little breathing room from the massive crowds. As for the property itself, the rooms were immaculately clean, private, very comfortable and well-appointed, and wonderfully blended the building’s old-world character with modern style. The breakfast was ample, delicious, and customizable, and the eating area allowed for a bit of socializing with fellow travelers if that’s something you’d like (but no pressure if not). The staff were very accommodating, and the proprietor friendly and helpful. If you’re lucky, perhaps you’ll get to meet her cute dog, too! So glad I stayed here for a relaxing retreat during the busyness and activity of the Siena Palio dell’Assunta, and would recommend to anyone.
