I had the pleasure of staying at Amanta Homestay in Kundasang, and it was an excellent experience overall. The homestay offers 3 clean and well-maintained bedrooms, with a peaceful and cool atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing.One of the highlights is the breathtaking view of Mount Kinabalu,which can be seen clearly from the property.The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are two bathrooms, making it convenient and comfortable for families or small groups.The location is strategic,close to many local attractions and within a short distance from grocery shops. Guests can enjoy activities such as playing pool or taking scenic photos with the beautiful mountain view in the background. The family is extremely nice, they really make you feel at home. We did fishing together in their garden ponds and we went together to the hot springs. They even brought us to the grocery store to get some supplies. A really great place to stay, they're trying to make the best of their life and they are very kind in doing it. The food was great, and they go out of their way to make it nice to stay. Cannot recommend this place enough!

    Beautiful and great place to experience. Enjoy the whole trip. We plan to return fit & strong to trek Mount Kinabalu. Don't miss out. Great place for a family holiday. Don't have to travel to Europe to gain such a fascinating view, Only be mindful, a lot of uphill if u wanna walk around. Great place for retirement if u love trekking n love nature. Love the attitude of road users. No horn

    Easy to go around Ranau if you have own car.

    Easy to go around Ranau if you have own car. Got many places available for food. If not, you can just go to KFC. The attractive places may be quite far from the town but as I said, its better to rent car and travel on your own sweet time.

    Kundasang Ranau is the best place to spend time with family...

    Kundasang Ranau is the best place to spend time with family and friends. We can find a spectacular view a long the way. Mesilou Kundasang is my fevourite place. Accomodate with a lot of homestay and a place for sightseing. Early in the morning you can hike to Sosodikon Hill for a better magestic view of Kinabalu Mountain. Later fill your whole day walking around Mesilou. Famous Dairy Farm, D'Mesilou Rabbit Garden , Alpaca Club the newest animal attraction, Mesilou highland Strawberry where you can try the fresh and strawberry and open for dine in. Spring Garden. A sanctuary where flowers bloom all year around and lush of greenery, with a view of mount Kinabalu. At night spent your time at Hooga Cafe. You can try the different dishes(food and drinks) and visit the Kundasang Farmville next to cafe where your kids can play at the playground. My view of opinion, before you plan to visit Kundasang, you need to book homestay early to avoid any circumstances.

    Ranau is another choice to stay for the night while doing...

    Ranau is another choice to stay for the night while doing day activity to Poring Hotspring and the other tourist attractions. There are a few choices for restaurants according to my taste. The temperature drops down in the evening and it feels refreshing. Friendly people and good environment.

    The landscape is dominated by Mt Kinabalu, and it's worth...

    The landscape is dominated by Mt Kinabalu, and it's worth heading off in different directions to see it from different angles. From the Sabah Tea Garden it is less angled, softer. The walks range between steep and flat; under rainforest canopy or through sunlit tea plantations. We stayed for five days, but wish it had been five weeks. We hired a car which made getting around very easy and allowed us to stop at any time to take photos.

    It had all the facilities, great view of Mt Kinabalu in the early morning when it was clear. Close to the centre of town (400m) where transport from Kundasang can be found. It was also about the cheapest place available. Easy to get to Kinabalu Park HQ using local transport (but returning is tricky - get a driver's number to pick you up, because buses are few and don't stop if full). I'd happily stay again.

    The staff were really lovely and the restaurant served delicious meals. The view from the balcony was stunning when it was clear and you can see magnificent Mount Kinabalu behind the hotel if you’re lucky with the weather. We had rented a car in KK and found the location of this hotel perfect for our visits to Poring Hot Springs, Kundasang, the War Memorial and Kinabalu National Park. We would stay again.

    Everything is amazing about this place: the nice hospitality on arrival, the location (central, in front of a nice market, supermarket, restaurants and a short walk away from the bus station), the decor and more important everything is super clean :)... and ranau is a gorgeous little town nice to see... I hope I can come back one day
