The grounds were beautiful, we had rooms facing the back garden and river. Very tranquil hotel and tastefully done. The breakfast was generous and excellent. The staff were all very kind and super accomodating. Overall very good value for money.

    Maua, and the nearby Meru park, were an excellent place for a 3 night stop on our tour of Kenya. A little out of the way but the ride there through mountains was amazing. Maua as a town is not prosperous but we found friendly helpful people and never felt at risk. We even made a couple of friends who took us to a waterfall. A chance to see real rural Kenya even if we were trying to move through the curiosity of locals who clearly didn't see many people with our skin tone!
