I spent 5 nights at this property and was genuinely very happy with my stay. I'm a bit of a cleanliness freak – and this place was spot on! Super clean, fresh, no insects, everything worked perfectly, and the host and her staff were simply amazing. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and friendly. Not everywhere will organize a taxi for you at 5am, wake up with you, carry your luggage, make sure everything is sorted, and send you off with such kindness! I’ll definitely be coming back. 💛

We had the two bedroom family suite. Everything was clean and new. Room was spotless. Gym was in great condition on the top floor with epic views of Uluwatu. Pool is clean with a shallow pool for small kids. Free drinking water is easily accessible and available, a rare gift for a hotel.

Very kind and helpful staff. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds and nice outdoor area. But what mattered the most is how clean it smells and looks there - truly amazing. The location is definitely based on preference - it’s a little secluded so we took Grab to go anywhere but it was nice to stay out of the chaos

    Fantastic culture, some great places to go in the middle, and North of the Island. I spent a week in Ubud, then a week on the South coast. I could have spent 2 weeks in Ubud, and based most of my travels from there. Beaches in the South are something else, great surf, etc. Things to note which you may not expect. Traffic is mental. Most roads are bad, poorly surfaced, narrow and congested. Most people get around by scooter, which is fine, but be prepared for the fumes if you're doing more than a pop-to-the-shops on one. And the endless 'sell'. I was taking my own picture at a restaurant and was told I would have to pay for it (Rice Terraces) They aren't all like that, don't get me wrong, but they will push it. Fun can be had with haggling, Rule of thumb, offer half their asking price, then work back from there. Be prepared to be followed down the street if you don't buy it. Food is amazing. Try the local dishes, so much better than the same dishes back home. And why would you fly half way round the world to have fish & chips in a different country? And, getting there. Get your visa before going, they have 40-ish automated passport gates, which you can use if you have a digital passport. Use the Gojek App for taxi, or even food and other things whilst you're there (Like Uber).

    Villa Bukit is a very relaxing oasis, respecting the Indonesian style but with some additional comfort. It was the last stop of our Indonesian tour and it was a small treat for us. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. All is equipped as an hotel room, also with things that we did not use (eg, tv). We’ve loved the small patio at the entrance of the room and the breakfast. Patrice and Coco also helped us to get a motorbike for rent which we could pick up at the door of the villa.
