This is a small town but perfect for conference or a few day escape from routine trip. Some attractions like shrines, few hiking trails and a railway museum are around. Finally Fukuoka is just 15 away by Shinkansen. And this town has its small but charming airport!Guest review byAnonymousEstonia - 10.0

Itoshima is a quiet beachside community. If you like getting off the beaten track you may like this. We visited Shiraito Falls - loved the waterfalls, nature and campfire on a cooler day; and Natty Dread - a quirky, creative restaurant serving up the best burgers and overlooking the bay.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 4.0

Yanagawa is famous for its Unagi i e grilled eels with a sweet soya sauce. It also has a beautiful canal and you can take a trip down the canal on a boat . It feels like the Venice of Japan. It is a small township and you can walk around the canal to the little shops and eateries. It is far from the bustling cities of Japan and has its own charm.Guest review byVivienneNew Zealand - 10.0
We were super happy with everything regarding our stay.
We were super happy with everything regarding our stay. Our room was very well thought-out with beautiful touches and the private onsen was just perfect. The staff were amazing and the setting of the place was very beautiful. I recommend biking around the area as there are lots of gems to be found like hidden Shinto shrines.Guest review byYasIran - 10.0
This was the last city on our trip.
This was the last city on our trip. We started in Tokyo, then went to Kamakura, Mishima, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Hiroshima. Fukuoka, as seen from an outside perspective, is the most vibrant. Communication is more candid, humor is more evident, people are more talkative, and there's a slight "Vegas meets Japan" vibe at night, with some of the more adult clubs' advertising.Guest review bySteveUnited States - 10.0

Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season was magical. Kokura Zoo is great. Slot car racing at Hunaudieres in Aruaru City was fabulous! Kitakyūshū Peace Museum is not to be missed, everyone should be required to experience this incredible place. Same goes for the Kitakyūshū Museum of Natural History! Lunch at the Kitakyushu City Central Library Cafe was perfect for the price.Guest review byMartinUnited States - 8.0
