Plitvice lakes and park is a wonderful place to visit.
Plitvice lakes and park is a wonderful place to visit. Just the price for it is too high to my oppinion. And overcrowded as well. Also be prepared for a long or very long walk (deppends on route selected). Tickets in advance reccomended because sometimes it takes too longto get, because of lots of visitors.Guest review byRamasItaly - 8.0
We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice.
We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice. We booked our tickets a day before for 7am. I'm glad we went early as from 9am the park was very busy. We used entrance 2, for a longer walk (but not the longest), it was very good until we reached entrance 1 (by small ferry) which was extremely busy. I do not recommend entrance 1 as the queue for ferry was very very long. Generally avoid busy periods if you want to enjoy nature.Guest review byKatarzynaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is a great place to base yourself when visiting the Plitvice NP. We only did a one night stay on transit between Zagreb and Zadar. There are lots of different sights to see, so wish we had a few days. There are caves and more waterfalls to see outside the National Park. The main township was much bigger than we expected. Amazing area. We ate at the family owned restaurant in a big orange building on the Eastern edge of Korenica, Restaurant Sapena. Fabulous grilled trout, and the best grilled meat platter ever.Guest review byMelissaAustralia - 10.0

You really need several days to visit what that place has to offer. Don’t miss the Spelaton center and Barać caves. We been on Barac Traill race and the organizers really do the best of them. Also don’t miss the fast food in rakovica on road by the Apartment green park with delicious burgers.Guest review byVedranBosnia and Herzegovina - 10.0

The B&B Plitvica Hill was great. The owner was there to answer any questions and help you get settled in. The room are all new and very well set up. The beds were great. My wife and I would sleep to much.Guest review byMICHAELUnited States - 10.0

The most wonderful 2 night short stay to explore Jezerce and the magnificent UNESCO heritage Plitvice Lakes. We were using public transport to travel and got by easily inspite the same. Though the hotel does not serve lunch and dinner there is a fabulous restaurant across the road serves local cuisine. A 25 30 mins walk to the super market if u need essentials. The hotel will drop you and pick you up as well from the lakes for 10 Euro x 2 persons to entrance 2. Lala the owner is an extremely efficient Host and takes care of all your needs, and she needs to be informed of your requests. We did the 7.00 am first slot, H walk inside the Plitvice Lakes which covered both Upper and lower lakes n took around 3.30 mins fast walk and around 7-8 kms. We were the first to finish in our group of around 40 60 persons. The crowd built up towards the end of our walk from the opposite direction,by which time we had almost completed our walk. The bus inside the lake picked us up at 8.00 am from the starting point towards our first part of the walk, was an easy walk all the way slope downwards and then an electric 10 mins boat ride across the lake ,refreshed ourselves at the cafe. Kindly note that across Croatia only cash is accepted, but here in the lakes u pay by card, which we did not carry, but a wonderful lady did pay on out behalf by her card and we paid her the cash. This is NOT mentioned on your tickets ,but only at the entrance of the park. The bus stop which is the first stop (towards Zagreb) and last stop at Mukhinje (from Zagreb)is around 650 meters walk to the property from the bus stop for the Plitvice lakes is Not mentioned on your bus ticket (Flixbus)and the walk takes 10 mins with your bags ,and a small part of the walk is on the highway on the side, while the rest of the walk winds through an internal road. In the evenings we just explored the neighbourhood fields n internal village roads and loved it.Guest review byjimmyIndia - 8.0

This town is very close to Plitvice and a great place to stay for less money than the official Plitvice hotels. There are a couple of restaurants in town, Restoran Degenija serves delicious food, a bit upscale, though not too expensive. Most of the town is on the main road to Plitvice, so there is a lot of traffic.Guest review byMonikaUnited States - 10.0

We were there in April and went just for Plitvic lakes, it was quite cold in the morning & evening, glad we had our puffer jackets. An absolute bonus was the gorgeous little village of Rastoke, stunning and the best food of our entire 2 weeks in Croatia.Guest review byVickiNew Zealand - 10.0
Wonderful place!
Wonderful place! Close to Plitvica Jezera and to Bosna, you can reach a long list of beautiful towns and natural sites in a short time driving, both in Hrvatska and Bosna. The village is small and quiet with gourgeous natural areas all around (not only Plitvice or Una river Narodni Park...). An excellent choice, highly recommended!Guest review byPierpaoloItaly - 10.0
Amazing national park with several options to experience it,...
Amazing national park with several options to experience it, depending on how far you want to walk. A combination of walking, shuttle bus and ferry will cover all the main sights (all covered in the ticket price). Get there early and see as much as you can - you'll be gobsmacked at the beauty of the lakes and waterfalls. There are a number of food outlets at the entrances and within the park if you can't bring your own. If you are staying in the area, there are a number of bistros and places to eat in the vicinity - but you will need a car to get around easily.Guest review byDamianAustralia
