Ideal place for a short (3-4 days) holiday. Beautiful beaches (although when it is windy there are waves), and lots of tavernas and fish restaurants in the port. To get there is a 4.5 hours drive from Athens to Pounta, and a 15 mins ferry ride from Pounta to Elafonisos with several ferries crossing every 30 mins. We just returned from another wonderful 9-day trip to Elafonisos — a place we visit every year and never get tired of. The island remains one of Greece’s true hidden gems, with incredible beaches like Simos and Panagia, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful, authentic atmosphere. We always make a point to visit outside the peak months of July and August, when the island is quieter and even more enjoyable. Everything is within easy reach — great tavernas, cafés, and small shops — and the pace of life is exactly what we need to unwind. Elafonisos is a quaint island with a nice selectin of shops, local artists, great restaurants, and several beautiful beaches. We spent most of our two full days at Simi Beach during the day and in the little town in the morning and evening, but I wish we had stayed two more days and spent more time at the other beaches. Small, but beautiful island with a nice people around! Wonderful beaches, especially Simos and Kato Nissi have the clearest water with the best colour you can ever see in your life! We have been so positively surprised. The best place to stay is Coralli rooms and restaurant available to book from booking! :) We have been there in the begging of October which is a little bit out of season, many things can be closed, but Coralli were the place to be and the beaches are not crowdy, just a few people.Guest review byAdriannaPoland

Lokal beach is on walking distance about 500m and others famous beaches are about 4 or 5 minutes driving. Parking place in front of the house and the nearest market and restorans about 3 - 4 minutes walking. Apatment was so clear and the kitchen was equipped very well.
