Would love to see the Autumn trees and their beautiful colours. This time of year the trees were bare. The road up Mt Canobolas was narrow and a bit scary with cars coming quickly down. Lake Canobolas has a lovely cafe. The people friendly and welcoming.Guest review bySusanAustralia - 8.0

Friendly people; and many places to dine. Beautiful lights in Main Street as a decorative touch! Easy grid to find your way around Orange township. Autumn colours of deciduous trees lined the streets. The Parkview pub and Ex-Services club, great hearty food for the cold weather. Local wines served in eating venues!Guest review byRachael - 10.0

Friday night we visited the Parkview for dinner 10/10 experience. Saturday morning we all participated in different events from the Park Run to an 1hour walk / jog around the area. Travelled to Lucknow where we indulged in retail therapy then had coffee and scones at Lucknow larder and home. Experienced Mount canobolas look out which is totally amazing. Orange is beautiful in April and May.
Orange is beautiful in April and May. It's a great city with beautiful old houses, great pubs and cafes and lots to see and enjoy in the surrounding countryside. The wineries, (particularly Heifer and Mortimers) are wonderfully welcoming and hospitable. We all enjoyed going for walks, seeing different bird life and kangaroos. The Overseers cottage was well furnished with all that was required for a comfortable warm stay. The wine tasting was fantastic late in the afternoon with the sun setting and the views over the vineyard. all questions before arriving were quickly answered with no hassle.
