I chose this location for the history of the building, and the walk-ability of downtown. The staff were very friendly, and most helpful!

We were only staying overnight, but Hay is a lovely and safe place to stay. I wish I had more time to stay longer and visit the Shearers Museum. Now I know it's there, I'll definitely return for a visit. I'll also let others know about it.

We stayed in Hay overnight on our drive to Canberra. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Being a Monday night some dining venues were closed. Bought a pizza from nearby, which we enjoyed for tea.

Hay is a fantastic and friendly town with all the facilities and services one could need. It also has a surprisingly large and varied number of activities for a quick break while travelling through or a longer stay in Hay itself. We absolutely loved our trip to Hay.

the accomodation had a little touring information.

the accomodation had a little touring information. The Crown Hotel was the only pub we saw open on the Sunday night where we enjoyed a great & hospitality & a steak dinner . Next only a morning touring for us. A walk along both sides of the main street a must where parts have been upgraded since out last visit some 10yrs ago. A couple of great clothing shops that were very tempting. The drinking fountain is a must visit & drink from. The Law court past the information centre is a stunning building exterior. A pleasant walk out of town, the heritage house & garden of Bishops Lodge did not disappoint . Extremely well documented & presented. The locals welcomed us tourists Thank you

Hay is a beautiful country town, and being located almost exactly half way between Adelaide and Sydney makes it the perfect place to stop over. Sage is a beautiful place to stay, Highly recommended. Sights: The Murrumbidgee river is beautiful, I recommend the black sheep for lovely coffee. The Chinese at the RSL is good.

Would recommend going to Shear Outback - very good...

Would recommend going to Shear Outback - very good representation of the shearing history of the area, good cafe and gift shop, and you can see a demonstration of shearing. Also worth going to the Dunera exhibition at the railway station to learn of the history of the time Hay was an internment camp during WW2

So welcoming. Old school country pub feel perfectly maintained. I got the sense that the publicans are proud of this business and they should be. Fantastic room that was really clean and presentable. All staff from bar staff to the hotel cleaner were very welcoming. I’ll be staying here again when I travel in a few weeks. Well worth the money and such a reasonable price. Five stars for sure.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The TV worked well and staff were helpful. It is walking distance to the South Hay Hotel and a two minute drive to the main street for coffee, breakfast and shops. While it is located on the Sturt Highway, the traffic noise was negligible. It was good value for the money.

Perfect for our brief stay in Hay. Lovely cottage with comfortable bed, great kitchen and homely amenities. The private and secure courtyard and carport were ideal for our dog to have some outdoor space. Located next door to the Black Sheep cafe (good coffee), a nice river walk across the road, and pubs, restaurants, and shops located nearby – perfect!

Clean, quiet, comfortable. We appreciated being able to park our car& trailer in front of our room. We loved being able to pop over the road and buy delicious Chinese takeaway from the bowling club. The Dunera museum was a 5 minute walk and was very interesting. Enjoyed our one night stay in Hay.
