The view from our room was great and there was a parking spot for our bikes. The accommodation is pretty central and a tram stop was very close. Housekeeping was very flexible when we asked one morning for our room not to be cleaned because we wanted to sleep in.

It is nice city, with Netherlands vibe, less Tourists than Amsterdam and more business city. In general it is grate, nice places to see, CoolHaven-Delfhaven. Everything is in reach of Metro. Metro is really convenient - you can even get directly to beach by it. Downside : overall service level here is low, guess there is a lot of people who lives here, and they just don't care. At least in most of my experience. But there are really nice exceptions, what makes makes even more happy. Best antique shop in Rotterdam is Stichting de Majum (also 010foto) with really kind people and best coffee and people Evermore. With owner spoke about crows almost an hour.

We visited Rotterdam as a family of four—two adults and two children aged 10 and 12—and stayed for 3 nights. It was a fantastic short break packed with fun and variety! On the first day, we went on a 75-minute Pancake Cruise, which was a highlight for the kids and adults alike. You can eat unlimited pancakes with a wide range of toppings—just be aware that drinks are charged separately. The next day, we spent the full day at Rotterdam Zoo. The weather was lovely, and we walked almost the entire day—so wear comfortable shoes and aim to arrive early (by 9 AM). It took us around 6.5 hours to explore everything, including a relaxing lunch break. It’s one of the best zoos we’ve visited in years—highly recommended! On our final day, we visited Miniworld Rotterdam, which was fun and fascinating, especially for the kids. We also managed to explore nearby landmarks like the Euromast, Erasmus Bridge, Cube Houses, and Market Hall before ending the day with some shopping. Rotterdam is great for shopping too! In summary, Rotterdam is a brilliant city for a family trip—fun, walkable, and full of things to do. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend it to others!

We love Rotterdam! This was our 4th visit.

We love Rotterdam! This was our 4th visit. We always walk a lot and enjoy the waterfront and city centre with shopping and restaurants. A couple of our favorite restaurants are Old Scuola, Takumi Ramen Kitchen, Stadtbrauerei De Pelgrim and Sojubar. We also enjoy Cafecito coffee. The tram, metro and trains make it easy to jump on and off or go to other cities close by easily. There's a small trampoline we found in a Yellow Bridge park that we go jump on every time just for tradition. Lots of people watching and enjoying the energy of this diverse and beautiful city.

    Don't go!

Don't go! Cleaning staff steal personal items and rummage through luggage! During my stay, I suffered a theft by the cleaning staff. One of the days of my stay, they came to clean my room and they stole my perfume, which was locked inside my suitcase. People who clean rooms go through people's belongings, unbelievable. I am angry about the gesture, not so much about what was stolen. The perfume was cheap. However, having reported this fact to the facility, nothing was done. Be careful!!

The Hotel is 10 mins from the metro and near the heart of the city. The reception was very helpful and the rooms very large compared to other hotels in Amsterdam. The bathroom was clean and there is also a mini fridge for the summer days. For breakfast the hotel has a discount for their residents at the cafe below which is very good. The whole experience was wonderful and when I come again to Rotterdam I will try to find a room again. Every room is themed like a oriental bazaar which gives you the feeling of living in the past.

It was a pleasant stay, the hotel is located in the centre of the city where all the action is. The room looked as promised, but a bit cold at the time of arrival. The AC was working so the cold wasn't really that big of a problem. It's a very good choice if you're staying in Rotterdam for about a week. There's plenty of restaurants and bars all around the hotel so you don't have to stress about that.

For the price, Motel One is a gem. The quality of the sheets and pillows and mattress rivals a 5-star hotel. Plus, the air-conditioning was excellent, as is the wi-fi. I love the location of the property--close to all major sights in Rotterdam. It's my #1 place to stay in the city (and I've stayed at many other places)!
