While I was a little surprised at the contrasting views of Richmond, I was also very impressed with the city's pursuit to preserve its history and really showcase the progress made. Richmond is a beautiful city to visit and really well located, you're only a little over an hour to Jamestown, 2 hours to DC, NC, WVA, the list goes on. Do you know that America's largest collection of Fagerge's Imperial Easter eggs is at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts? There are roughly 250 objects created by the House of Faberge at the VMFA, along with exquisite collections of European and American paintings, African art, Egyptian and Greek artifacts and much more! We went on a eating tour. It was great to go on. They to you to a couple of different places to try new things. It was great. I would love to do that again. The easiest way to get around Richmond is by foot. That is if you aren't going to far from where you are starting. Other wise it is hard to find a parking place that you don't have to pay for.
