This place is a rare gem! We stayed for only 3 nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer! Naoko is the warmest and most accommodating host! We loved her home, it was super comfortable and her food is amazing! Breakfast is included, both Japanese and Western breakfasts were delicious, and her dinners too! Every dish was a delight! Naoko really went above and beyond for us, and even made us bento box lunches to take with us. Our 6 year old son, had the best time! He became bestfriends with Naoko’s dog, Taro. They went for walks, played, fished for tadpoles and frogs together. We also became very acquainted with her chickens and rooster. This place is perfect for kids to run free and have fun! To get there, it’s best to rent a car. Kochi is so beautiful and worth a visit. For us, 3 nights wasn’t enough. We hope to have the chance to see Naoko, Taro and the chickens again!

The most important aspect of a stay when walking the Shikoku Pilgrimage is: did you sleep well? I slept through my alarm. There have been only four nights out of twelve so far that I have slept soundly. This matters more than any other aspect. The room I stayed in was large. The bed comfortable and made ready before I arrived. My host was gregarious and helped me find a good place to eat nearby. The welcome was warm and personable. This matters the world when one is a pilgrim in a foreign country. I am grateful.

I stayed one night at Junos, when I walked the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage. What I like about this accommodation is that it’s different from all the other ones, in a positive way. It’s modern and cosy at the same time. Everything you need is there: fresh and clean room, great bathroom, washing-/drying machine, a kitchen where you can make a cup of tea. And nearby there’s a bakery, convenience store and several restaurants. Last but not least, the people who run the place are very friéndly and helpful. Junos was really a little gem during my pilgrimage.

Its one of the only places on the henro track in this area and its literally on the track. I got a full family room for myself. I didnt see any place close to get dinner, and the food they serve is quite tasty and does the job (its a bento box not fresh made food)
