It is lovely to want to come back to the hotel and first thing have your favorite drink in the lobby for free: a juice, a coffee, hot chocolate… The mattress was firm, high quality, excellent for a restful sleep.

FAQs about hotels in Alicante

A 7,000 Year Old Mediterranean Jewel

Surrounded by the sandy Costa Blanca beaches and the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Alicante has a rich heritage built over thousands of years. Alacant (as it's known in Valencian) has a deep history ranging from the first tribes that arrived at the slopes of Mount Benacantil to Greeks, Romans and Moors. Nowadays, this modern city features a bustling harbor, great Spanish nightlife, charming old streets and modern beach resorts.

Overlooking the city from the top of Mount Benacantil, the Castle of Santa Barbara was built during Islamic rule in the 9th century. Cascading down the slopes towards the center of the city, L'Ereta Park has terraced levels that offer stunning panoramic views of the city. The remains of the ancient Roman town of Lucentum are also just a few miles away.

Barrio de la Santa Cruz is the historic quarter, featuring narrow streets, old houses and cobbled steps. Framed by palm trees and covered with a snaking pattern of white, red and blue tiles, the Explanada de Espana is considered one of Spain’s most beautiful promenades.

After arriving at Alicante Airport, indulge yourself in a resort near San Juan beach, or enjoy the view of luxurious yachts moored at the marina from a cozy B&B: Booking.com has the perfect spot for you to discover the magic of Alicante!

We have been to Alicante now a few times, we have never been disappointed. It is very close to the airport, there is a large beach, there is a long and interesting promenade and lots and lots of tapas alley's. You are also only a short walk to the city with lot's of shops.

Sunshine and blue skies. Not but only 33 in early August.

Sunshine and blue skies. Not but only 33 in early August. A very friendly city and not overwhelmed with tourists. Felt safe throughout, even in the park under the castle that we forewarned about. Lovely old town under the castle and lots to do without a car. We solely walked around about a mile and a bit around our accommodation. We also took the tram to Benidorm. Tram not so good, a little bit English; slow, overcrowded and late. Benidorm was good but loved the authenticity of Alicante. Lots of Mercadanos! Fastest airport in the world! And the C6 bus to town was brilliant.

Alicante is a Spanish Holiday town.

Alicante is a Spanish Holiday town. By that I mean lots of Spanish people go there. Less so other nationalities especially the Bargain loving Brits in Benidorm up the coast. I was there 8 weeks and unless you are in the tourist beach marina area very few locals speak English. The down side to the town ( and the world these days) is the rubbish and especially the dog mess. It is everywhere. The locals all seem to own a dog and do not clean up. The city is full of communal segregated rubbish bins. Great if the locals can be bothered to put rubbish in the bin. Leaving it stacked up at the side is not the answer. No collection on Sunday so the piles of rubbish and the smell in the 35C heat are not good. The beach looks great but being met by pantie liners and condoms floating towards you as you step into the Med is off putting. On the plus side I found great cafes and places to eat and compared to other countries and other cities in Spain it is way cheaper. Supermarket shopping for Self catering is also cheap. Getting around with a bus pass is also easy and cheap. There is a Metro but it is slow and overcrowded. A great place ruined by spending all your time looking where you have to tread all the time.

We spent 3 nights in the city and 4 nights at San Juan beach. The city is beautiful, clean and worthy of a city break with a beautiful port, many historic sites with activities for all and wonderful bars and restaurants. Top tips: Castell de Santa Barbara offers beautiful views of the city. Take the escalater up and hike down. Font de l'Agar waterfalls are a must Tabarca Island (beautiful and worth seeing but busy in peak summer. Take water shoes to check out the coves away from busy beach areas. Playa de San Juan beach is a short tram ride from the city and the best beach. Walk along to Cap De L'horta for beautiful coves and clear water.

The streets are so clean, the public transport is really efficient, the people are super friendly, the choice of food is incredible and inexpensive. The architecture is fabulous, the whole vibe of the town is welcoming. And the weather was cracking. There is something for every age group. We ate at Tapas bars and steak houses, had a great meal in the Asian restaurant just opposite the hotel.

Super clean city. Trash bins (both small and big) found everywhere. Very beautiful city where ancient and modernity meet. Residents are nice. Those who don't speak English are still willing to help with their little English and signs. Taxi drivers are nice

My wife and I stayed four nights in Alicante and we were very happy with Alex's flat. Quiet, spacious, in a great area for visiting the city centre and with all the amenities you need. I appreciated the proximity to the Central Market and the central train station where you can rent a car for a day trip. The little cafe under the apartment is an added bonus. Alex was very kind and surprised us with croissants and fresh drinks in the fridge.

Basic but well kept, clean hotel with small but seems modern, renovated room. Equipped with all the nessessary things exept a fridge, what is a big disadvantage. Maybe thats why one of the cheapest hotel in Alicante. Reception stuff is kind, helpful. Location is really gond but the beach is 15-20minutes away.. But 5 minutes from airport bus, mercado, szupermarket, city centre. Breakfast in thr Coffee shop of the hotel in the hotel building.

Cosy, reasonable priced hotel a bit outside of Alicante. We loved the authentic vibe of the area to get away from the touristey areas. The bus stop is just outside the hotel so easy get to/fro the city. The hotel is a bit on the smaller side so feels like a family hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast at the terrace, and - they had cava too! :-)
