The staff were excellent and helped me out after the rain delayed my train. I know this was a little extra work for them, but I appreciate their hard work. The facility is an affordable and convenient guest house, with a nice shower and wash area. The bed curtains provide good privacy. It was close to the subway.

The whole building has all the facilities you could want, but also is beautiful, full of art, has a great garden out back, and most importantly has a very cool community built around it. The staff are very friendly and happy to include you in on activities that are happening at the cafe or elsewhere, even if you don’t speak Japanese. Of all the places I stayed in Japan during a month long trip, this was by far my favorite.

The room was very nice. I knew the area and deliberately booked there. Some people might say that the area is a bit run down and it does have homeless people yes, but it has a great local food and bar scene and it is perfectly safe any time of the day and night. Best place to stay for budget travelers in Osaka.

While the bath was communal, it was refreshing to be able to dip in like an onsen. The bath made up for everything else. It would be good for the bath times to be clarified between males and females even after normal bath hours so no one has to be locked out. There is a lift to get one up the floors. There is a microwave and hot water for meals available.
