The location was unbeatable. We got an oceanfront view with the balcony so it was nice to be able to wake up to the waves and sitting outside albeit a bit cold in April. It was also very close to several restaurants on Main St.
Would definitely do another staycation here!
This oceanfront hotel features panoramic ocean views from each guest room. It has a breakfast cafe on site. Good Harbor Beach is a 5-minute drive away.

Smaller, more intimate than Gloucester, but still accessible to Boston by commuter rail. Large selection of local artisan wares. Managed to snag a reservation at My Place By the Sea. Would revisit but not before also trying places more frequented by locals.

A charming town with much to see and do in and around the town. Excellent food options. We especially loved the lobster rolls and fries at Bearskin Neck Bistro and the donuts at the Brothers Cafe. Shalin Liu Performance Center and the Paper House were two places not to miss. And you can't leave Rockport without seeing Motif #1.

Loved - quaint downtown, views, coastal walks.
Loved - quaint downtown, views, coastal walks.
Didn’t like - no parking at Long Beach and other beaches near there except for pricey and overfilled private lots. Next time I’ll be bringing my bike to avoid the traffic and parking.
Restaurant hours are limited. Every place is booked solid or closed.

There are seafood places to eat every where with water views. The only downfall is the traffic during the summer. I probably wouldn't go again until just after Labor day, but I would definitley go back again. Ate at Mile Marker 1 and Seaport Grille which had awesome food. Pricey, but good. Well worth it!

The Seafarer is an immaculate, comfortable, and welcoming inn. The room was spacious with a wonderful foam mattress and a small kitchenette. The public spaces are comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and varied.
This charming, eclectic, boutique hotel was a delight! Located just a short walk from the Rockport downtown and beaches, the location was superb. I loved all the little touches throughout, including a breakfast to go customized for me as I checked out. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating (thanks, Nick!). And thank you for having Peet’s coffee stocked in the room. ☕️ 🤎
I would definitely recommend this property for a unique experience on the North Shore.
The location is excellent right across the bay. The Cove has been renovated with very nice features- such as a large beautifully tiled shower, quaint little bathroom with a beautifully appointed bedroom with lovely coastal decor. Rockport is a charming little town with a beautiful auditorium where we listened to a flutist/piano lovely duo practice with a beautiful view of the ocean as a backdrop.
We will definitely be back to stay at The Cove at Rockport!
I loved the feeling of old Rockport that i remembered from childhood with the broad seating area on the second level just in front of my room. I loved the men working about the property as it seemed just like the village that i left when i was very young. I love the retro character inherent in this motel although it had all the important touches to make a modern traveler happy.
Nice variety at breakfast, shared table with friendly tourists. Very close to the main places of interest in Rockport. Host was very knowledgeable about the region, restaurants, etc. Rockport is not far from other points of interest in the larger area as well. We enjoyed the verandah - a pleasant place to read and watch the world go by.
And, we enjoyed Emmie and Libby, too!
The facility is awesome as it is a historical place. All the original wood and antique furniture pieces. The view fabulous. They have a made to order breakfast where you sit at a table and they wait on you. The rooms are not a typical hotel room but more of a bed and breakfast space or as the name of the place states “inn”.
The motel was perfectly fine, but there was nothing outstanding or special about it. The view from our second floor room was great. And it was very close to the reason we came to Rockport, a concert at the Shailin Liu Music Center. We also like the express check-in.
Beautifully updated hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very inviting lobby area and breakfast area. Beds very comfortable. Only disappointment was there was no hot tub as shown in pictures. Nice location for visiting both Rockport and Gloucester!
The location, a less than 10-minute walk to Rockport’s harbor, was absolutely perfect and on-site parking proved invaluable. Coziness, delicious breakfast offerings, porches and a comfortable room made for an ideal stay.
It is a quiet relaxing hotel with mostly older clients but that also made it very private. The pool was small due to the area the hotel was in but lovely. I slept better here than I do at home. The area is so beautiful.
The inn is located in a quiet residential area on the water, overlooking a cove. You can walk to rockport’s harbor center, with restaurants and shops, or along quiet streets that skirt the oceanfront.
The room was spacious and clean! The pool was an added benefit! The staff was kind and friendly. We were able to bring our dog which was a huge WIN! We all enjoyed our visit to Rockport!
This Guest House is perfection. Everything is so well thought out. The furnishings and decoration alone, are a feast for the eyes. We would return in a heartbeat. We also loved Rockport.
Helen and Dan are great host. This is a great B&B to spend few days in Rockport. Rooms is very nice and breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend ecommend the place.
Room was beautiful. Check-in was easy and convenient. Breakfasts had good range of options. Beds were comfortable. Proximity to Rockport and Gloucester was great.
