We’ve just spent 3 days at the Ceska Boutique Hotel in Gozo.
The stay was an absolute pleasure, starting with the warm welcome from Mickayla at Reception.
She , along with Grace and Carmelino, were very keen for us to have a memorable stay, and were responsive to solving any request which we made of them, cheerfully.
They arranged tours of Gozo, recommended and made reservations for us at great local restaurants, and booked transport for us as required.
Their positive and helpful attitude permeated the entire establishment, including the wait staff at breakfast (special mention to Mara), and the housekeeping staff.
The entire hotel was spotless, and the breakfast spread kept us comfortably full until dinner each day.
We could not commend the Cesca Boutique Hotel any higher, and would happily encourage our friends and family to stay here when they visit Gozo.

The views of Comino and the blue lagoon. The walks with the dog
The very quant square and bars and the church is spectacular.
Hon dog beach is a nice walk to and to swim there, then go to the restaurant.

Qala (pronounced Carla in English) is unspoilt, quaint and quiet (except during festival week when the petards are going off, which was great for a pyro-head like me!!) The views are spectacular and it really comes alive at night. There are only a handful of eateries but they are seriously good. D Bar and II Bukkett where our favourites, the latter has a spectacular dining balcony overlooking Comino and Malta. Food, everywhere was exceptional and the wine was very good, and cheap too!
There are a couple of small general stores in the village, which pretty much had everything but do not forget the daily siesta, between 12 and 4pm when nearly every small shop is shut.

The purpose of our visit was to visit a poorly friend so we did not do any trips or sightseeing. We did however, visit two restaurants which were very good. D-Bar and Ta Vestru. The latter was exceptional. There was also a little cafe opposite the beautiful St Joseph's church. Here we had 2 cheese and ham toasties and 2 coffees for under 5 euros.

I really liked Qala.
I really liked Qala. It’s a pretty place with a lovely traditional piazza with nice bars and restaurants. It was relaxing and not too hectic but still plenty of people out in the evening. It is very close to Hondoq beach where we loved swimming and snorkelling. We saw lots of fish!

Qala is a quaint town to the North of the island of Gozo.
Qala is a quaint town to the North of the island of Gozo. Like all towns in Gozo one finds the church in the center surrounded by numerous handouts where one can have a drink or eat. It is one of the prettiest towns in Gozo.
Everything was absolutely perfect! The hotel is beautiful with great views and is situated in a veru quiet area. Parking was not an issue at all. The staff were super helpful and very responsive whenever we needed any assistance. The room was great and was equipped with everything we could need. A nice bonus was the Mulino restaurant downstairs which had the most amazing food; we had a super lovely evening there and would highly recommend a visit. All in all this is a ten out of ten hotel and would definitely love to visit again! :D
Betty Cake is a little oasis in Qala on a rather nondescript street. You wouldn't know it was there, but once you arrive, it is a charming little place. It is like a little boutique B&B, but made all the more enjoyable by the charming and beautiful Denise, who is very helpful with local knowledge, tips and recommendations. She also produces a wonderful breakfast each morning, including her own baking of traditional food. There are nice restaurants within walking distance or within a short drive.
A fabulous, fairy tale house in a quiet town of Qala, Gozo. Spacious beautiful rooms with stylish floors, shiny clean bathroom and good water pressure. Nice mattresses with nice soft and smooth linen. Large kitchen equipped with all cooking pots and pans and a really nice toaster. Extraordinarily hospitable and generous owners (welcome muffins waited for us).
The staff is very friendly and the host actually remembered us and our favorite drink us from a 2 night visit about a year ago. The room was very spacious and clean. The restaurant manager was kind enough to prepare an evening meal for us and left it in our room since we returned to the hotel after restaurant closing time. Breakfast was excellent.
A simple but sparklingly clean and comfortable small hotel/restaurant overlooking the sea. The hosts are friendly and helpful and made our stay memorable. Excellent, hearty breakfasts. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly in Qala and the surrounding beaches and would definitely recommend Il-Bukkett (“The Bouquet”), which is also an excellent value.
DISCLAIMER: This was just 1-nighter, therefore no time for a full experience.
But, if Qala is your destination, this is perfect spot to relax in peace, still in walking distance to Zeppi's (reason to visit) or Xerri l-Bukkett (fav restaurant with THE views).
Be careful - beds are very comfortable, you may want to stay longer! :D
Denise was an amazing host. She made great recommendations for walks, including to the beautiful secluded beaches less than 30 minutes away by foot. For longer stretches, there's a bus stop close by. Qala is a great island to explore, and it's always possible to take a day trip by ferry to Valletta.
A beautiful, tasteful and very clean property. Betty goes out of her way to make you feel genuinely "at home". You would struggle to find better hospitality in a 5* hotel. I cannot recommend this place enough. If ever we return to Gozo we will most definitely stay again.
Great staff, really amazing food and breakfast. Best views I have ever seen from a hotel room!
I had to change my check in time few times and the staff was most understanding.
Not a party place, quiet and nice residents, exactly what we were looking for.
beautiful view of the sea from the room - spacious balcony - comfortable bed - good restaurant downstairs - gorgeous breakfast - no traffic noise (the screaming of the cocks did not bother us)- small family hotel
Very friendly people and warm hospitality. Honey feeling with hotel luxury. Spacious with great view. Could see sea from sofa and enjoy changing scenery. Great recommendations of things to do.
A truly fantastic hotel, one of the best experiences of the past few days. Really liked everything, island, village, hotel facilities, room and staff. Hoping to visit again! :D
The peaceful location in beautiful rural Gozo. Amazing breakfasts and all round great hospitality, also Qala has a lovely town centre with a few nice bars and resturants.
Breakfast was really good. Location in a quiet street and near beautiful countryside of Qala Point. The farmhouse has been converted in an attractive way.
