This is truly a unique experience of Armenian hospitality! It's like visiting your friends rather than receiving a service. Friends who missed you and make everything to please you and make you feel at home!
Nature around the property is wonderful and beautiful! It is a dream to those who enjoy a good hike, trekking or just a pleasant walk in the mountains.
Food is all natural, organic and home-like! You will never feel hungry in here.
Special thanks to Varujan, the owner and the host - an extraordinary and open-hearted individual...
The host family was very kind. The son speaks English and if he is not around, you can reach him by phone to translate. His mother met me and showed me the apartment. The top floor apartment is lovely with an amazing view of the city with balconies on both sides. Just a side note, it is in a soviet building so keep that in mind with your expectations but it is a very nice place. There are markets, banks and pharmacies just a stone's throw away. Transport to the rest of Armenia is about a 5 minute walk away.
The Chalet is way above Alaverdi on a steep hill. The view is amazing and the big balcony just awesome. The owner couple are extremely hospitable and do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I think there is no better way to stay in Alaverdi than this unique location. Just make sure you have a car or can afford the taxi ride to and from the center (ca. 500 dram), since walking the hill up can be really annoying ;)
Absolutely perfect, very professional. Nice, modern, large room, clean and tidy. Excellent hosts. Speak English. They do care. Rich breakfast, fast internet. Comfortable bed. The whole house is in perfect condition. Private parking (behind the fence). Really nice. I was travelling from Gyumri to Meghri and back to Georgia. This was perhaps the best B&B on my trip in Armenia. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
We loved our time at the Aparthotel. Narene was really friendly, and offered to upgrade our room to a room with a kitchen and balcony which was amazing. It made the final push up the hill so worth it. We had the breakfast in the morning which was delicious. We had been bike packing around Armenia and camped previously so having a comfy bed, and good shower was perfect. We would definitely go back.
The owner, Irina was really kind and nice person. The dinner was very tasty and the atmosphere made us feel we are at the relative’s home in Armenia. We enjoyed good conversation and she even made us a “special tour” of the city on her way to the groceries(We stayed there in the off-season. I think that she was just being kind, so please do not expect it always happen).
Thank Irina and Marine.
It is big old Soviet-era hotel but renovated.
The staff is very friendly and waited for us when we arrived.
Restaurant doesn't look fancy, but we were offered a huge and tasty dinner for a very reasonable price.
Room is Ok, nothing special, but comfortable. Bathroom is convenient and with a lot of hot water.
Firstly, the owner was really nice and friendly - he not only provided us with some travelling tips, but also gave us some local fruit to try :) Secondly, the room is comfortable and the hotel has everything, we even did our laundry for free. Thirdly, it has a parking lot, which is good for people having cars.
You have a beautiful view from the hotel over the Odzun village. Rooms are spacious. Delicious breakfast with homemade jam prepared by Ms. Greta. We did a hike from Odzun to Kobayr and owner was kind to arrange the taxi for us on the way back to the place we left a car. We recommend this place for sure!
The wifi was good, the showers were hot and had good water pressure, it was clean. What else can you ask for? You don't travel to this part of Armenia to hang out in the room. I hiked all day and slept well at night, which was all I wanted.
What a pleasant oasis in the middle of Alaverdi. Room with a balcony was great. Also, the communication was in English. To bad the weather wasn't good enough to try the pool.
