Pramana Giri Kusuma, hotel in Payangan

Located in Payangan, 6.2 miles from Neka Art Museum, Pramana Giri Kusuma provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

I MUST give this place a 5* but so tempted to give less as they promote elephant riding! No Pramana! Not OK! Please stop. This place blew me away. Considering the low number of lodges that it has, it’s huge and still maintains a lovely vibe and doesn’t feel empty or soulless. - LOCATION. If you like the sights and sounds of the jungle this is the place for you. You’re completely enveloped in the serenity of nature. Set in a small valley with a (I’m told ‘legendary’) river running through it, it’s just so peaceful. Despite being in the jungle they do a good job at keeping the mosquitoes at bay. - EXTRAS. Every day you are invited to a complimentary Balinese afternoon tea. How wonderful. Every day they have a free activity e.g. a guided walking tour up the canyon etc. This tour is scheduled for Wednesday but I thought it was Thursday. When the reception staff saw I was disappointed I missed it they organised a private tour for me the following day for free. How amazing of them. - BREAKFAST. Every day at breakfast (it’s a la carte) you’re presented with a lot of food, and you can have what ever you like. - ROOMS. Fabulous. Four-poster beds with comfortable mattress and pillows, huge bathroom with hot, powerful shower, lovely lighting. They're well-kept with private balconies (not overlooked at all), oh they’re just so dreamy. They’re cleaned daily and even a turn down service later afternoon – which includes lighting coils to shoo away the insects. - STAFF. Throughout they're so friendly and kind, especially the reception and cleaning staff – they can’t do enough to make your stay special. It really felt quite magical and special and yet such good value for money esp. with breakfast and afternoon tea involved, and how special the accommodation is. We were really sad to leave but have booked the Pramana on Nusa Penida so hoping for the same experience.

+ - Beautiful place - Amazing surroundings. - Friendly staff - Good food - Spacious rooms - - Little flaws in the room (airco and fan not working properly) - Little bit overpriced (laundry service, taxi service) - Staff should put out cushions by the pool when pool opens (we had to ask after being there for 2 hours) - The charge of 10% service fee on everything really bothered us.

The area is spectacularly beautiful however it cops a lot of rain and there can be land slides which cut road access. Our hotel (Adiwana Dara Ayu Villas) was a long way from other properties, so eating options (hotels, restaurants, local warungs) were non existent and sadly as the food in our hotel was abysmal (even the Indonesian was done badly) we skipped eating meals which diminished the pleasure of the holiday.

It is a relaxing place you can enjoy the rice terraces and crops around with this mystic that you can feel visiting the temples. Also, you can find many options to enjoy a relaxing bath in a waterfall.

I was a little hesitant when I got to the villa because I’m a city girl and I’ve never lived in a village, let alone in a bamboo house. But I was greeted with a smile and a generous welcome by the staff. Although the property is far from Ubuntu but it is surrounded by mountains, forest, birds, butterflies and so much rice padis. My stay was amazing and I slept very comfortably. The restaurant at the villa has a decent breakfast. As I said, the staff were extremely nice and they went above and beyond to make sure I had a nice time.

We love it! It’s amazing. They have jungle inside their property. They have canyon, holy water. And ohhh the breakfast was delicious with lots of variation on the menu from continental breakfast, american, indonesian even balinese breakfast. We also take the cycling session around the ricefield. And following the balinese tradition called ‘melukat’ to wash away negativity and to bound our love to eternity. Ahh yes, we celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a very nice romantic dinner. We will be back for sure!

This hotel was one of my favorite stays throughout my travels! The Hotel is nestled into an expansive lush jungle with nothing as far as the eyes can see. It is secluded and far away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotspots in Bali, and I could not be happier with my selection. The staff were absolutely fantastic too! They were friendly, attentive and a joy to deal with. The villas are stunningly beautiful and seamlessly blend into the surrounding greenery.

I loved the staff, they were so nice & super attentive. The most friendly & accommodating hotel staff I have come across in my history of traveling. I wish I could have brought them back to America just to feel there good vibes everyday lol. I also loved how spacious the villas are, how secluded and quite the atmosphere was — believe it or not, I enjoyed the sounds of the animals every morning. The property is exactly what I need, peace and zen.

This is a beautiful, traditional Balinese home that has been adapted for travellers. It looks as though it has grown up out of the jungle. The rooms are huge with a hot/cold water system for drinking with a full sized fridge and microwave. Breakfast is extensive. The walls are so thick you're insulated against the usual noises of dogs barking and roosters/hens. The host enjoys a chat and we exchanged views and knowledge on many subjects.

The Pramana Giri Kusama is a beautiful and unique hotel with a jungle / boutique feel. The pool is set within the jungle area and is large enough for a relaxing swim amongst the trees and accompanying wildlife. There is a good selection of food available from the menu and the food was delicious. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. This area of Ubud is a great spot for seeing the local sites.

Wayan (the host) was extremely helpful and making sure all the time you have everything you need. We could rent there a motorbike for fair price. On the other hand, Wayan helped us extremely in the last morning (6 am) to get to Ubud by waking up his brother (he's a taxi driver) so he could drive us there (Gojek couldn't find a driver)

Located in the deepest part of Ubud, the setting is fantastic, the best rainforest style hotel in Bali. The temperature is low at night, and customers need to keep warm. Both the natural scenery and the location of the hotel are excellent, the night is very quiet, and it is comfortable to sleep with the sound of insects and frogs.

One of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed at. the pool was incredible, food at the restaurants was divine, and such a comfortable room and bed with a huge bathroom. will definitely stay here again. the location isn’t in the centre of Ubud so you will need a driver or to take the shuttle bus to get to the centre.

Quite far outside of Ubud, in the middle of the rice fields, it's quiet, although lots of frogs around, the view on to the rice fields is stunning. The open rooms leave air through, so it's never really hot in there. Huge bathroom, interesting design. Very friendly staff! Breakfast is tasty too.
