When you reach the Cathedral at Santiago de Compostela, you are feeling happy and excited and exhausted. What a pleasure to walk right off the square into this fantastic old hotel. The staff were welcoming and our room was comfortable. It was a pleasure to explore all the aspects of the hotel from the top to the bottom. A good experience.

We enjoyed visiting the cathedral and the surrounding old town. Also seeing the steady stream of pilgrims arriving elated at the main square in front of the cathedral. We had hoped to see the priests swinging the censor during mass, but this apparently only happens on certain days of the year. I think that 2-3 days is enough to see the sights.

The streets are narrow and confusing. I got lost a lot. The city is on hills so lots of inclines. But the food was great…a very unique experience. If you can handle the walking and have a gps on your phone, you will love it.

You don't have to be catholic to appreciate the historical aspect of this charming city. We attended noon mass one day and visited the crypt with the supposed relics of St. Santiago (James) on another day. Loads of restaurants, shops, the usual touristy stuff. There's a little "tourist train" that costs about $12 for 2 seniors -- during the 45 min. ride, a recording in many languages gives you the latest info.

Fantastic Location few steps away from plaza obradoiro and the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral . Modern, very clean and very nice hotel . The rooms are spaciuos and very well presented. Very good beds . Very good bathrooms .
Number # 1 choice in santiago de compostela .
Although the hotel does not have parking there is a public parking 1 block away. Yo can arrive by car and leave the luggage and then park the car .
Be sure to check the weather before traveling. We had a great time but we had rainy days .
It's a big pleasure to write opinion about this place :)
After second Camino this was my fourth night in Santiago. After three different places we looked for quite area but close to main square. I'm quite demanding traveller and I check opinions carefully before book something in Spain. Someone wrote that this is the best place in Santiago to stop and I agree. This was excellent choice! Very spacious room with amazing view on Cathedral, exactly like from photos. I highly recommend!
The breakfast was well worth it. We were served a delicious set of eggs, with bread and pastries along with our choice of coffee or tea. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave good recommendations and paid parking is right next door with free parking accessible within a ten minute walking range. We have travelled to many parts of Spain and of all the hostels and airbnbs we have tried, this location topped it all.
looks just like the pictures, fully equipped and even has a balcony/little garden to sit outside!
comfortable kitchen, hot shower, good WiFi and air conditioning for the cold weather.
the location is perfect, between the old town and the city center so a short distance walk to EVERYTHING!
the hosts were very nice and responsive.
when I go back to Santiago I will definitely book this apartment again❤️
Great location, just outside the Cathedral wall.?
we moved from the Parador hotel to this apartment,2 bedrooms, one Toilet/ Shower. Nice living room, nice kitchen but we decided to just eat out, many restaurants around the neighborhood :-) Very clear instruction book on do's & don't ! Would gladly stay at this apartment when we come back to Santiago de Compostela.
Great location near Santiago old town, everything within walking distance. On main road but our room was very quiet. Large room, fairly basic looking but very clean and comfy, nice views over countryside. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Had a nice evening meal at Codex, cafe Derby does a grand beer. Airport bus goes past hotel.
Great location in the middle of the city centre. BUT NO NOISE, since the windows have a lot of insulation. There's air conditioning (which is not as common as you would think in Spain), very helpful staff (even if most contact is virtual), there is even luggage storage.
Fantastic rooms and very good quality/price ratio.
Nice hotel, nice staff great location in the old town of Santiago near restaurants, bars, shops and Cathedral! Handy if on the Camino.
Less than ten minute walk from Cathedral square and pilgrims office (from hotel down the hill to Plaza Cervantes turn right through the pipers arch and your there) will stay here next year!!
As a solo female I appreciated the safety of the pension. I liked that the doors were locked at 5:00 pm except to residents. Concierge was very helpful and place was super clean. I’d read reviews that the showers were small. That’s so not true; I’ve seen hotels in Spain with really small showers!
The hotel is located in a very good position… so close to the cathedral and to the city center… Mary, the receptionist was so kind and so polite… she upgraded us to a better room with view and balcony… breakfast was really good. The right place to rest once you ended your camino de santiago.
Lovely hotel with a very nice feeling to it, right across from the cathedral. We were always comfortable and very much enjoyed our time here. The building is itself was a joy to explore, rich with history and atmosphere. Excellent location in the old town of Santiago de Compostela.
Huge great bar that served fantastic food and great choices for beer. I had been in Spain a month and had not had an American IPA beer until I arrived at this place. The bar was very large which allowed a lot spacing between tables. Great during COVID.
This is my main favourite hotel when I am in Santiago. It is a quiet and cosy place in the heart of the old town. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the premises are always clean and cosy. It make you feel like you are indeed at home!
This hotel was perfectly situated in the old town of Santiago de Compostella.
It is wonderful to be able to have breakfast downstairs and their food and cafe which is brilliant.
I can recommend the guiness cake which was fantastic.
The room was a restored/refurbished old room with some of the old block walls part of the decor. The room was small, but typical of all the rooms in other hotels in Spain. My wife and I loved the room.
Small, nice and quiet hotel in the old town Santiago. Very close to the cathedral, restaurants, shops and parking. Reliable contact with the reception for help and check in.
