Everything was high quality - the rooms, the beds, the food. It was all very clean and inviting. Service was good, we got everything we asked for. The location is also good - not the center of the tourism area, but 20 minutes was from there or a few minutes walk + subway. A plethora of restaurants and shops in walking distance.

the best hostel experience i've had so far. the place was modern, well-equipped and clean. the common area on the first floor is really good both for chill and for work — and I'd mention that the WiFi connection was perfect which was crucial for me. i've lived in a female-only dorm, which was really spacious and comfortable to live in. the hostel location is a top notch, it is near a bus station where you come from the airport and there were a few shops nearby, as well as the city centre, of course. and special thanks to the staff for being so friendly and helping out :) all in all, the greatest experience possible!

With a dome reminiscent of Brunelleschi’s "The Duomo" in Florence, the Hungarian parliament building is undoubtedly the icon of Budapest. It sits majestically by the Danube, the river that both divides and unifies the 2 parts of this capital city: Buda and Pest.
Overseeing Budapest from its vantage point on Castle Hill is Buda Castle. Spectacularly lit at night, it has the best views across this attractive city steeped in World Heritage. Some unique points of interest are Heroes Square and the Museum of Terror, reminders of the city’s more turbulent past.
Much like in Vienna further up the Danube, coffee and cake is practically an institution in Budapest. And there’s nowhere better to try them than Gerbeaud - the elaborate décor alone makes this café well worth a visit.
To really feel like a local, make a trip to the thermal baths. The relaxed Gellért Baths are a triumph of Art Nouveau grandeur and, based on their sheer size, you can't miss the outdoor Széchenyi Baths. If unusual nightlife is your thing, the club nights at these baths are great fun.
With an impressive range of Budapest hotels, apartments and hostels available in this city of 2 halves, Booking.com makes it an easy choice.
The architecture and the history are great and go beyond...
The architecture and the history are great and go beyond what you can see - you can actually feel it. Very walkable - only on the Pest side but Buda's Castle district is seen in just a full day anyway.

Great city, lots of history, not too busy, great restaurants and reasonably priced for a city. If you want to visit the Hungarian Parliament or any of the Baths book online before you go as there is limited availability.

Great local food restaurants near the Monastery Hotel.
Great local food restaurants near the Monastery Hotel. Easy walking to both sides of the River Danube. Some fascinating Churches, other historic buildings, Parliament etc. Great views from higher ground overlooking the City . Well informed and well organised river trip at night. A good long weekend resort. The locals are very welcoming and rightly proud of their well presented City. Start with the hop on hop off bus to get and overall feel of the scope of the City.

Amazing city!!
A lot to see and do!!
Amazing city!!
A lot to see and do!! Great local food and great food locations. Easy public transport but also very very easy to walk around. A safe city. A lot of different things to see. There are a lot of statues in the city so looks out for them, and I was also told there is small statues scattered around so look out for them too.
The best thing I can recommend is the children's railway - a train system that is run by children - I think it gives them great experience but also it's something new, like role reversal. From there you can go on the chair lift, what is just beautiful!! These attractions aren't very busy so you get great photos and get to experience it all better. So the chair lift was easy and not bust so no queues. But the view!! It's definitely worth it!!

We loved the big bronze statues all over the area.
We loved the big bronze statues all over the area. Local architecture is stunning. The city was clean and beautiful in spite of being seriously flooded. Public transport is excellent and very good value.
We chose this hotel due to its central location and stylish design and it did not disappoint. The location is excellent with a very short walk to the city centre. The hotel and room is very nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed especially is so comfortable. And despite its very central location the room was so quiet and calm. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice and made our stay memorable. If we would come back to Budapest we would stay there again!
Breakfast was grand! The room new and up to date wonderfull shower! the SPA is fantastic, thermal baths weer devine!! outdoor pool sun tarras great! quiet in the rooms very well isolated! Situated on the island in the city centre! Sziget island is the central park of Budapest! If you go to budapest stay at this hotel! you'll be amazed
Stylish hotel with great city centre facilities plus a pool and spa. The staff were excellent. Concierge service was brilliant from booking restaurants to helping track down our missing luggage. Breakfasts were amazing - probably one of the best egg chefs ever!! And check out the cocktails in the bar
