The last time I was in Santorini was 20 years ago and the evolution it has seen left me speechless. Over run with tourists crammed into the souvenir shop filled streets. On my street alone there were 2 gaming lounges. Why do you need a gaming lounge on a Greek Island?? There is even a McDonalds. It's more LA than GreeceGuest review byErikaItaly - 10.0
The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Oia.
The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Oia. We only ate out for dinner. On the first night, we had dinner in our room (they have a menu from a nearby restaurant with various types of meals). On the following two nights, we went to Meze Meze (recommended by Sofia) and on the last night we went to KooKoo. Both restaurants were very good. We went on a catamaran tour (recommended and booked by Sofia). We took the tour to watch the sunset. We visited the island with ease as we had a car. We went wine tasting (again recommended by Sofia). We visited the island's key spots—Fira, watched the sunset in Oia, visited the heart of Santorini, and visited several beaches.Guest review byAnaSanchesPortugal - 8.0

Kamari is probably one of the only area to have beach access. BUT you need special shoes otherwise it will be a nightmare. The black sand is also deadly hot so shoes are a must. Some beach clubs like Woodoo are super nice.Guest review byOlivierFrance - 2.0
It’s an expensive town.
It’s an expensive town. Beach is difficult - all bars and restaurants offer ‘free sunloungers’ to customers but then you must spend at least €20pp in the restaurant- and are persistent on reminding you to spend the money. There is VERY difficult sea access all along the beach - slippery flat rock for quite a while - so getting in and out of the sea was somewhat challenging. And large waves. And it was boiling hot - not great. I wouldn’t consider returning ever!Guest review bynoname12380United Kingdom - 10.0
It was so nice to stay here.
It was so nice to stay here. Away from the crowds of Thira and Oia. Lovely little village with fabulous restaurants. Easy to get the bus into Fira 2 euros. Equally you can walk it in 30 minutes down a lovely coastal path.Guest review byhelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This was our second time staying in the village.
This was our second time staying in the village. Very convenient for getting around not too far to walk to Fira. We don’t like crows so prefer to stay outside of the main tourist areas this is just far enough away from the capital. Plenty of places to eat in the village a few shops and bus stop just at the top of the main road.Guest review byCerieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Akrotiri is a beautiful town.
Akrotiri is a beautiful town. I definitely recommend visiting the Akrotiri archaeological site, but the entrance fee of 20 euros is honestly way too expensive. The White Beach and Red Beach are nice, but not really our thing because they’re overcrowded. We preferred finding some quieter beaches insteadGuest review byMilosCzech Republic - 10.0

Quiet little town located quite high up on the island so the views are just awesome. It's also super central and close to everything. We hired a quad for the 4 days in Santorini, this was such a good idea as it was so easy to get around the island.Guest review byThibautAustralia - 10.0

Best location in Santorini you can get just in the the heart right in between Thira and Imerovigli - 10-15mins walk in both directions. Beautiful and relaxing town with everything you could ask for and still without the noise from clubs until late night like in Thira! Firostefani simply is a must to pick!Guest review byMrMajklIreland - 2.0

the location is not what it seams, it is just between the main road and other construction sites or empty fields, with no nice view. Overrated prices on booking.com compared with the reception prices or any other nice hotels even in Oia.Guest review byralucaRomania
