Along the aquamarine waters of the Persian Gulf lies the remarkable waterfront of Corniche, which offers a walkway along its entire 6 km. From here the modern Arabian skyline can be taken in and by night the scene is illuminated, creating an even more glorious spectacle.
However, shopping is really where it’s at in Abu Dhabi. Malls such as the Marina, Abu Dhabi and Al Wahda Malls provide a multitude of goods, endless boutique options and plentiful food halls. AD is great if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in the UAE. Its not Dubai, and hence its easy to get around with the minimum of time spent in traffic. Yas Island is great for spending a day at the attractions and the mall. Also, the airport is a breeze to get in and out of. Plenty of outdoor activities are on offer, if you prefer not to just lounge around the pool and catch some rays. Most of the fun places are climate controlled, you can really enjoy Abu Dhabi in the summer.... great to get away from the packed EU places with only the beach to satisfy your day. Abu Dhabi is a perfect location for everyone. You have the convenience of having Yas Island for the family. The parks are fantastic, and all within the same area for ease of travel. You also have the marina and the arena all in the same area. Lots of restaurants and bars to cater for all manner of tourists and residents alike. Abu Dhabi retains much of the traditional charm of the UAE, which is further enhanced by the presence of well-known cultural institutions. The city has a very open feel to it and is very walkable, with convenient public transport options available. It is ideal for anyone that wants to spend their time exploring the city. Louvre Abu Dhabi should be at the top of any list, alongside places such as Qasr Al Watan and Qasr Al Hosn.
